Chris Hughton insists the lads cannot wait to get back to the Lane and the chance to put right our disappointing start to the season.
Derby County visit N17 on Saturday and first team coach Chris is quick to point out that there is a determination amongst the squad to bounce back after defeats against Sunderland and Everton.
“The first two games haven't gone our way,” said Chris. “We were looking to go into this Saturday with a home win under our belts having got something from Sunderland, but it hasn't worked out that way and now there is more pressure to get a result in the next game.
“The next game is Derby and I'm a believer that in a situation like this you want to get back out there again as soon as possible to put things right and the lads can't wait for it.
“I’m sure Derby will try to make it difficult for us but it has to be about us and about bouncing back from two defeats. It has been a disappointing start for all of us here and we’re determined to get back to winning ways.
“We’re grateful we’ve got another home game but we have to go out and do it when it counts and that’s three o’clock on Saturday.”

Why dont you just put a sock in it!
I thought they couldnt wait for Everton!
Talk is cheap! We want action!
So what if we beat Derby... dont make up for the disappointing results and performances!
Hughton out!
Take your boring pre-match post's with you!
Same old crap everyweek... "It's gonna be tough, we have to be up for it" blah blah blah...
If only our team was pumped up for it, as much as our fans!

It's time Chris got shipped out of White Hart Lane. I think a lot of the problem is down to coaching and plain and simple this guy ain't good enough.

But I have heard he does draw some excellent cartoons in his notepad during the game. The team always rushes into the changing room at half time to see what witty sketch he's come up with.

For God's sake, please calm down. It's either this or the club announce a media blackout and don't say anything, which would only invite further press pressure. You don't have to read it.
Every pre-match interview will be cagey like this - if they say what you doubtless want them to say - I assume something along the lines of "I cannot f*cking believe we've played like retards so far but every single squad member has had their little finger amputated as punishment and we promise the fans we'll beat Derby sh*tless on Saturday 'cos they've not go a prayer against the likes of us" - it'll only leave them with more egg on their faces when Earnshaw nutmegs Stalteri and equalises in the 94th minute.

I think most fans are just bemused by this crap start. It's like a bad f*cking dream that we can't wake up from! It's not just the defeats, it's the injuries too. So shut the F up Chris and start turning this sh*t around!

I like Hughton, he played in a cracking Spurs team from my earliest memories as a fan. But, I think Jol could do with a different assistant to help him. I think that could be the answer instead of getting rid of Jol. Hughton's outlasted a few managers but maybe we need a change, someone with fresh ideas. I don't think Jol's a great manager but maybe he could be with a better assistant alongside him?

Some of the comments in this forum are a joke - so reactionary it's unbelievable - first your saying sack Jol & now we've turned on Hughton as well have we?! The man knows the club inside out, has Spurs in his blood & is an asset.
The season has not started as we all hoped and expected, but we have several top, top players out & we are only TWO games in - does Jol not deserve a bit of time has he not earned that in the last two years? - think of the fantasic open attacking football we were playing at the end of last season - is that not what we all want to see from a Spurs side?! They have not become bad players overnight!
We have surely proved over the last 15years that sacking your manager every 5 minutes is not the way forward!
We still have another European tour to look faorward to, and the league results will pick up - so starting saturday, lets get behind the team & the manager again!
COYS!!!!

How about, sack Jol make Clive Allen manager, play routledge buy back zeigler and Halfreedson, play them both on the left, taarabt in the middle with the fresh prince, Alnwick in goal and Dervette as holding midfield player even though he's in a leg brace.
Sack Levy and Comolli as well, its not like they've built much over the last couple of seasons.
How about getting Hoddle back, we were always top after the first 3 games of the season under Hoddle, so we finished 12 at the end of ever season, its where you are at the end of August that counts!

when was the last time we lost back to back games? Everything seems to be a bit out of perspective at the start of the season. Spurs in crisis, Man City rejuvinated, Man U stuttering... after 6 days of the season. come on ffs think about it!

Haha ya~ if you sit back and think, probably fans from every other team except our own, believe that Spurs is going to bounce back strongly.

Injuries, players not delivering, the history seems to repeat it self for us. And so does Chris. Maritin Jol is a good as big boss - but behind every man there is a assistant. Chris has been here to long - and we need someone that is good at tactics behind Jol. Martin needs to scare our players into playing well with his mafia look. There is some bad luck into the to first games dow. Besides injuries - we could have had one draw - and a draw or victory against Eveton. This will even it self out during the season. If we win against Derby - and Man U looses- we are infront of the champions.
We are going for the title!
To dare is to do!

What p*sses me off about certain fans on here, is they can't stand any criticism of Spurs at all. Even if it's constructive criticism. There is a difference between constructive criticism and just being negative for the sake of it.
The pint is always 'half full' for you guys isn't it? No one is to blame for anything are they? Things have a way of just fixing themselves don't they? If we're nice to everyone, even if they are crap, it makes the world a better place? blah blah blah...
You people bore the crap out of everyone else!

How is calling for Jol to be sacked (as a worrying number of people seem to have been saying on this very forum) in any way constructive?!?
It's just a knee-jerk reaction to a bad start which gets us no-where!

I've no doubt that Martim Jol is a great manager, and Chris Hughtons been in the game a long time and has a lot of experience (and i assume various coaching badges), they both seem to be nice guys too, but perhaps thats where part of the problem lies, i've never seen either one get properly pissed off. After our last 2 half hearted displays we need MJ and CH to kick some arse in the dressing room, get angry and tell these guys to start pulling their weight, god knows they're getting paid enough!
