View Full Version : Lawro's prediction for Tottenham v Bolton

Spurs played well against Hull last week, even though they lost. They played some really good football but missed crucial chances.

I think as long as they can cope with Bolton's physical strengths they will win. And it will be a red letter day for Juande Ramos, finally.

Verdict: 2-0

I agree. We were not as bad as some of the people think. With 10 lads we were playing better most of the first half.

I think Poyet needs to come out and give that say war speech.. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH; just like he did last season.

if Lawro says we win then i will back him on this.. he is never wrong.

PS: those he know we are playing at home!

I'm worried about how much these last two games, one which ended with 9 men, the other with 10 men, has taken out of us. A tough physical opponent like Bolton is the last thing we need. And then, no time to rest, as its Arsenal in the week. I really hope we grind out some sort of victory to close the gap on Bolton to two points. I just cant see it. My prediction 0-0.

Lawro just knows that usually whatever he says turns out opposite, so in that case, i agree with is prediction unfortunately!

back to basics, for the Bolton Game

1. stay disciplined, no rash challenges
2. stay focused, keep it simply, nothing too flashy
3. Don't be bossed, your at home, so stamp your authority and take it too them
4. When you get a chance pull the trigger, you can't win if you don't score, don't faff about in front of goal, start creating and taking goal bound chances.

Over and out, up the Spurs

Key is early goal. We don't have the confidence or mental toughness to hold onto a lead, let alone a come-back.

This means we should be attacking from the start - the right thing to do if you are at home.

Modric would be our key but he's a double edged sword. We need him to pull the strings in this game - he is our best reader. GDS/Lennon/Bale/Hutton running down the flank waiting for Modric's ball.
But then we need to get the ball first so that's down to Zokora and Jenas.

I doubt we are going to see much of the ball unfortunately so we really need to create with every opportunity we have.

With only Bent upfront we would need some luck to get to the end of the ball. I personally wouldn't want us to be feeding crosses in because we simply don't have enough men upfront and our wingers are too small to support.

I can't see us scoring alot but fingers crossed. Defence-wise the backline is obvious so just hope they have confidence in themselfs. Don't panic.

"If they can cope with Bolton's physical strengths". That's okay then. Our midfield bruisers love a good physical test, don't they?!? The kiss of death from Lawro...

Hope hope hope that this is the match where it finally comes together.

Does Jamie O'Hara's red card last night rule him out of this match, or will it only count for the UEFA games?

Nope, he'll only miss the game against Zagreb in 2 weeks.

Why the hell is Lawro so nice to us???? I don't get it. He has every reason to rubbish us all the way to hell. I don't really know the man, does he have a Tottenham bias at all?
