DIMITAR BERBATOV believes silence is goal-den at White Hart Lane.
The Bulgarian is the star striker every Spurs fan is talking about — but none are singing about.
Berbatov admitted: “It’s probably because my name is too difficult for them to fit into a song.
“I’m only interested in pleasing the fans. If they like what I do then that is good. It would be nice to hear them sing my name but I appreciate it is not easy.
“I am not that bothered if they don’t come up with one, just as long as I am working hard for the team, we are winning and the fans are happy is all that concerns me.
“Even when I played for Bayer Leverkusen in Germany, the fans did not have a song for me.”
Berbatov, 25, scored a wonder goal and produced a five-star display in Sunday’s 3-1 win over Wigan that has shot him to No 1 in the fans’ eyes.
And they are praying boss Martin Jol keeps faith with the same line-up for Saturday’s North London derby at Arsenal.
It will be Berbatov’s debut in one of English football’s most famous clashes, staged at the Gunners’ new 60,000 seater Emirates Stadium for the first time.
Berbatov, a £10.9million buy from Leverkusen in the summer, added: “It doesn’t hold any fears for me. I have heard it is the biggest derby and I can’t wait to see what it’s about.
"For me, every game is like a derby and you must prove yourself. Sometimes, if you’re not in good form, it doesn’t matter. You can score one with your knee and it still counts.
“People will say Arsenal are there for the taking at the moment but in the big derbies, form doesn’t count."
