Harry Redknapp insists he will not be paying too much attention to our defeat against tomorrow night's opponents Wolves two months ago.

Mick McCarthy's strugglers took an unlikely three points away from the Lane in December - something we will be looking to avenge at Molineux on Wednesday.

But our manager feels that result sums up the unpredictable nature of the Premier League, with all our fellow competitors in the race for the top four having suffered similar results at various points throughout the campaign.

Therefore, Harry believes we must take positives from recent performances and believe we can take maximum reward from our trip to the Black Country.

He said: "Wolves came and got an amazing result at the Lane, so we want to try and turn the tables at Molineux.

"But everybody has slipped up this year, not just us. Man City did against Hull at the weekend and even Chelsea did earlier in the season at Wigan.

"These things happen and there are no easy games in this league. You have to work hard to get any points out of every game.

"Wolves had a good chance to win at Birmingham on Sunday until Kevin Phillips came off the bench to turn the game around. They're scrapping for their lives and Mick knows every point is vital.

"Molineux can be a tough place to go, but we've played well wherever we've been, and if we play like we did at Birmingham or Leeds recently then we've got every chance of getting something there tomorrow.

"It's a big game and we'll be looking to get three points. We'll go up there and play the way we usually do with an open, attacking team trying to win."

I hate how Harry does this, its like saying 'i know weve had bad results but so have everyone so it dosnt really matter... IT DOES MATTER!!

Were not taking points from games we should win and unlike Wigan (v Chelski) I dont see us taking any points off teams were expected to lose against either - manure, chelski or the gooners. Weve been soundly beaten by those three and doggedly dragged down by the likes of Stoke, Wolves, Bolton, Everton and Villa's style of 'football'.

I wish he would stop trying to cover the little cracks and just admit that some results have been disappointing and their working hard to sort it out rather than this flippant, it dosnt really matter, approach.

Under Jol we didnt have a great record against the so called lesser sides but at least we took some good points from the top four.

Well what do you call beating Chelsea and Liverpool last year, as well as drawing to Arsenal, Chelsea and man Utd.
And this year we've already beaten Liverpool and are yet to play Chelsea, Arsenal and untd. i expect at least 3 points from those.
Be fair.

Oh dear,,, The old chestnut harry speeches!..
1) It's a tough game,
2) it's tough place to go,
3) It will be difficult.
4) there are no easy games, (even against teams plagued by injuries and have not won in months)!..

FFS !..

Well Just as I predicted, were now in 6th tonight as man.city have now one another game in hand.

Villa still have a game in hand and after there match with manure 2moro. and if they win that it puts us 7th.. if we don't beat wolves. Are you still believing our 4th spot is again ours soon,,I think not..

In fact if we don't win at wolves. and Birmingham win there next 2 games to equal our games played. we'll be down to bloody 8th!...

Hi 'StokeSpur'......I just wanted to remind you that when we last played, and admittedly lost, that series of games against the top four clubs, we were without Lennon and Modric.

Games against the ''Top Four'

Jol - Played 24 Won 1 Drawn 8 Lost 15 = Points gained 11

Redknapp - Played 12 Won 3 Drawn 3 Lost 6 = Points gained 12

Talk about negativity or what!
Of course if we lose games we go down the table and if we win games we go up the table

Wow, we've got nostrodamus in our midst. Who'd have thought City would beat Bolton at home. And it wasn't one of their games in hand, we play tomorrow night as part of a full schedule of games. They've got a game-in-hand coming up against Stoke away when we don't have a corresponding fixture.

I get the frustration of a fair few voices on here, but I just think ragging on Harry all the time is daft. We're having a great season - better than when Jol got us to 5th because the footy is a bit better and our presence among the bunch looking for 3rd/4th is more established. Harry's been instrumental in this.

In the last game, we really outplayed Villa and were unlucky not to win. That's frustrating but I don't see why people are so pissed off about it. There were a lot of positives to take from it and if we play like that again I expect 3 points at Wolves.

That's all Harry is saying here but those with an axe to grind are jumping on every quotation from Harry at the moment.

Harry and the team's "It wasn't to be" attitude is now officially very, very dull - and the team and management need to start taking responsibility. If I was Daniel Levy I'd be bloody furious.

The fact of the matter is, through a combination of Harry not making the right in-game changes, our strikers squandering untold chances, us being woefully predictable in the final third and, crucially, injuries to Lennon [FACT: In the five league matches we've been without him we've managed only ONE win and scored just three times!!! Scary. Shows how much he's contributed to our season so far] we are potentially 7th at the moment with Villa's game in hand.

Not 4th, not 5th, not even 6th ... 7th. And potentially only 3pts behind Birmingham in 8th with their game in hand.

It's time for us to stop banging on about how good our season's been and for Harry to stop talking about the unpredictable nature of the results so far this season because the bottom line is, due to the failures above we now need results to begin to get a tad more predictable.

That means, and I never thought I'd say this, that tonight I will most certainly be a West Ham, Arsenal and Man Utd fan ... AND from now on we need to make sure we can finish off the likes of Bolton, Wigan, Stoke, Wolves, Portsmouth, etc otherwise we won't even make the Europa Championship next season - and then what will we all be saying?

I think 'Arry is being 'Arry, he's always been the same, loves his football and talks like a fan! My mates and I can't believe this season so far either, they way things are going we could finish third, or seventh. And it changes every week!
If we win, Liverpool lose and Villa lose aren't we fouth? There's a lot of games to go.
But I totally agree with the Lennon point lets have him back ASAP, we look top 4 with him playing!
