Fella, most/nearly all fans were delighted to see the back of Comolli. We've got Harry ,who in the opinion of most fans ,is a great man manager and has unearthed some great signings in the past. As our manager, surely we should back him and his selections? Since we are a million miles from the Kaka's of World football , and indeed ,would be extremely unlikely to attract any talent from one of the "top 4" at the moment, we are having to try and sign decent players that will be an upgrade or compliment what we already have, and from clubs who need to sell in the Jan. window.....and there aren't many of those. I say leave it to Harry and DL.

I really can't believe you would think that writing this letter would accomplish anything, It carries about as much weight as a floating turd...

If you were a shareholder, or on the board of directors, then maybe it would get a small consideration.. But your just a mere season ticket holder mate. The only thing you can do to support/influence the club is continue to buy your tickets..

In Harry I trust. He often looks for out of form, unfashionable or unknown players, sometime he finds gems other people don't see. I'm expecting a couple of surprise signings.

Mate I know you are passionate about Spurs, we all are, so don't take this the wrong way but this really wasn't necessary and won't achieve anything. I am pretty much on the fence re Bellamy but even if I were totally against it to the extent where I diminish his ability like I think you have, I wouldn't really go to these measures because they will accomplish nothing. Neither Harry nor Levy will see this letter.

Wait until Bellamy is signed and then wait to see how he does. Also reserve and express your opinion but I wouldn't try and pass it off as representative of all or the majority, it makes people feel pretty pissed off and makes you look rather presumptious and arrogant-and not in the positive, confident, bold way, in a rather ignorant, deluded manner.

I am not sure why so many people are getting their knickers in a twist. If and when he comes here and plays enough games to make judgement, the vitriol and complaints may have some place but at the moment they are just totally unreasonable and hysterical.

I have just emailed this to Daniel, Harry, and various press factions of the club, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to get this our into the open world as well so that people can vent their opinions and the club can see I'm not just one ranting lunatic. (If I am, feel free to tell me, but do so nicely ).

I am hoping that the club takes note, because I have to voice some grave concerns.

<snip>

I don't agree with the language, but I think its great that instead of just moaning on a forum (like myself), you've done something about it. Good on you.

Whilst I agree with your opinion of the odious Bellamy, I can't agree with the tone of your letter.

First, you are reacting to a rumour. I understand that it is not a particularly palatable one, but a rumour nonetheless.

Secondly, you threaten the manager - on behalf of all fans, no less - with being hounded out of the club. You do not even give the Chairman or Manager the courtesy of addressing them as 'Mr'. Your arrogance is breathtaking.

If I was Daniel Levy or Harry Redknapp reading this I would, indeed, treat it as the ranting of an extremist. You do yourself no credit, sir.
Totally agree

Write in haste, repent in leisure

I suggest that the results of a poll in Spurs Chat on the number of fans who would want Bellamy as a Spurs player would be a better foundation for a communication to the Club

BTW I want Bellamy in a Spurs shirt as much as I'd like Robbie Savage

West Ham are a club in financial straits...it's the place to shop if you fancy your chances of getting a bargain. I'm not sure if 6 million is a bargain for a 30 year old, injury prone striker who isn't exactly prolific.

Ah well, I have rather exposed myself it seems.

Live and learn, I stand by my views and shall be as stubborn as a muel in defending them. I stand by my actions regardless of how presumptious and arrogant they are, and I care not for those criticisms which lack thought and objectivity. Those which do, good on you, I left myself open to criticism and some of you have afforded me the dignity of genuine, constructive repost. Those of you who haven't, well I really do not care what you have to say anyway, this is where my very justifiable superiority complex kicks in and certain things are blotted out of my all too alarmingly brilliant mind.

Agree entirely with your attitude to Bellamy and have said that even if he were to prove an effective signing in football terms we are not so desperate or lacking in pride and dignity that we would consider inviting such a disruptive character into our mainly young and immpressionable squad.
However you seem to have made this issue the ultimate test, no doubt encouraged by your close friends and matchday companions. I think that it is presumptive to speak on any one elses behalf and feel that your letter will be innefective.
You seem to have been boiling up for a little while now,and the Bellamy matter has tipped you over the edge.
Some of your recent posts have been uncharacteristically disrespectful, and your spelling has gone to pot, always a sign of haste or lack of control.
Calm down, the Bellamy signing would be for me a test case of Harry's and Levy's values and intentions. But Tottenham are bigger than Bellamy,Harry Redknapp and Levy put together and will survive what would be a temporary setback but possibly an important one,I agree.
If he is signed I will afford him the same backing I give to all Tottenham players.Lets hope that the club will have a bigger impact on him than he has on the club.
If your ITK info on Defoe is true then we wont need him anyway, please God.

Awful letter.

Bellamy is not my personal choice but we're faffed around for so long trying to get the right manager in, the least we can do is let the manager do what he wants.

It is wierd, I have been boiling for a while but I'm not sure why. I've been lambasting those who have been disrespectful to eachother and the club, I can't stand Levy bashers and have only ever praised him, while I've so far had only good things to say about Harry.

Yes, my spelling has been atrocious, probably to do with the impassioned nature of my posts, and it seems I have become a touch indignant in my verbal treatment of others, and I am a touch regrettful of that as I feel it will take a long time for me to again be taken seriously on this site.

As for the presumptive nature of my letter, perhaps that is where I really erred, but I make no apology for the harsh, and perhaps patronising tone I take in my address of whoever get's to read my letter, nor for the fact that I was bold enough to write it.

I appreciate the constructive nature of your commentary, and I hope I have afforded you like respect.

These words sum up exactly my thinking, but i'm not at all sure it is appropriate for a letter to the club. It will surely be ignored. A group chant at the next home game would certainly do the job as it would make the papers and be embarrassing for the club afterwards. I just hope he's not already signed by then....

Having said all that, I've not lost hope that this could be a ploy by the club to bring down the price for Defoe.

Dear mister LeGin. May I just, in absolutely the nicest possible way, avail myself of the bracketed invitation.
Luv
Arnold.

PS They won't take any notice because their egos are such that they value Harry's many years of managerial experience over the views of a 23 year old prodigy. Crazy, but there you go.

PPS Lennon & Modric are most certainly not the only players with whom this particular fan identifies.

PPPS I don't want Bellamy either, and to be honest can't see him pushing us towards a higher League position than we could attain with the current squad. But sometimes you have to just hope that these things fall through - as it seems to have done already - and you certainly don't threaten the manager, especially without the ammunition to do so.

We've signed much worse players than craig bellamy in the recent past and as someone already remarked, if his drive rubs off on some of the squad then he could turn out to be a decent signing if not a world-beater.
