Awful today, the only thing worse was the refs display in the 1st half.

Created very little and seemed to have very few ideas. man u didn't play well and won comfortably. Anyone switching on with 20 mins to go would have thought we were down to 10.

If we're going to start with Crouch we need to vary our attack and not just hit the long diagonal ball to him. Also if Crouch starts we're gonna have to change Keane's contract so he doesn't have to start every game. We have enough options to not play him at left wing.

Gomes must also start at Chelsea. Very very poor today against a very average united team.

funny you say that, I was there and when Rooney got the third I actually thought to myself for a split second, ah well we are down to ten men. Very poor performance compared to of late, but im not gonna let losing to the champions spoil our fun. We have to lose sometime and I'd rather it be to the champions than Hull, Birmingham or some other shite, then we would have to worry!

I have to ask the question though, Is Robbie Keane a faggot?

Well said Markie, yes Utd are a good team but they are constantly moaning about every decision, really gets on my tits.

Exactly, Fergie was leading the moaning from the bench very early on today. All to often the Utd players gave the ref a bashing for just about anything. Even Owen, when warming up in front of me in the second half, had a right go at the linesman for rightly calling a manure player offside.

didn't see the game yet but Keano on the left wing is shit

Harry bottled it why was Niko not started on the left after all he is a left midfielder and Keano is a striker

think Harry bottled it today with his selection

Bringing on Hutton made sense because he is a more attacking full back then Corluka, however it was never going to work against a team of 10 men that are masters of the counter attack. The game needed Pav, somebody different who could unlock the United defence since Plan A (Crouch) was being thwarted.

I don't think we believed we could beat United, the equaliser knocked so much out of the team, and whilst the scoreline suggested we were still in the game after United went ahead, effectively the 2nd goal killed the game, the 3rd was just more salt in the wound.

I think we hit the bar and Jenas nearly buried one in the top corner but for a great save, or are you forgetting this to make a your point? We played poorly after the referee was harassed into wearing a united shirt and every decision went against us. I have never seen a team get away with that much harassment of an official in my life! The referee should have been subbed before half time, maybe that an idea for the future, referee substitutions! LOL

What a shit thread

We were playing 1 of the best teams in world football for f*cks sake. They played pretty well and gave Carlo plenty to do

Against the top sides we're going to miss Luca's creativity which was shown up today.

Man U have world class players in Vidic/Ferdinand/Evra/Rooney and the best ever Prem player Giggs who got them back in the game with a great free kick

Harry got it wrong starting with Keano on the left

Defoe and Crouch link up very well together

Lennon was probably up against the best left back in the World

Very tough game for Tottenham and we we'rent embarresed.

Nothings changes we're still a good side who wont win the league or finish outside the top 7

think I agree, but dont think robbie was playing left wing, more floating behind the front two but covering the left more.

I ask again though is Robbie Keane a Faggot?!!!

We got sluaghtered in midfied in the 1st half so taking palacios off wasn't the problem in the 2nd half. I agree belief is a big thing. I think our squad is just as good as united's and the players need to believe that. The problem is we don't have the ref in our pocket like Fergie's team does, so we have to go up a level to beat them. Thought united were a disgrace in the 1st half trying to get us booked for every foul, especially that bloke who only plays because he's from the same country as Fergie. Forget his name, but he wouldn't start for Bolton.

Against the top sides i think Keafoe is definately the right partnership as Keane will drop and help out defensively. With Crouch on it is so easy for the players to just hoof it up to him and it just ruined are normal game plan. In the first half Crouch was pretty good in holding up the ball but the 2nd half he was poor and i thought Pav would have come on. Interested to know just how many fouls and also back chat to the Ref Fletcher has got away with in his last two games against Woolwich and us without getting a yellow

Yep. We were crap today. we had the odd good 5 mins or so during the game but that was about it.

The amount of times we gave the ball away was unreal. I have to say I was dissapointed with our tactics too, just because we have crouch doest mean we have to float the ball into the box at any oppotunity. We have played some excellent stuff so far this season, and hope we dont revert to this tactic every week.

If your referring to Darren Fletcher, the bloke covered every blade of grass today and was a massive influence on the game. Another player who does all the dirty stuff but is very important to the team

As for Man U getting in the Ref's face and getting most of the decisions.......all the top sides do it and it works. Tottenham players need to start doing the same or they'll keep getting shat on by the officialls

But it works:shrug:

What got my attention was how bloody hard the Utd players worked, they got at us and closed us down the whole game.
We were just beaten by the better side today too good to play with crucial players missing.

The ref played no part in us losing today. We did that ourselves im afraid.

No they don't, instead the F.A should crack down on persistant offenders and remove weak officials.

Think it's a good thread, we all want spurs to be a great team and to say we weren't embarrassed when we lost 1 nil when they had 10 men would suggest you're easily pleased. United were one of the best teams in europe and they sold Ronaldo, Giggs has been one of the best players in the prem and is now 36. I want spurs to progress and am hoping for more than just getting through the season without being embarrassed. We're not Wolves or Bolton or portsmouth.

Yeah he was shit today but he ain't a LM is he, he shouldn't have been playing there in the first place. Square peg round hole doesn't work. He has played up front with Defoe every game this season except today and we have done just fine, with the teams pressing being a key factor.

Need a bit of realism in here sometimes

We're not shit because we lose 1 week and amazing the next because we win.

We're a good side. Man U are a great side, anyone that finishes above them in the league will win it:shrug:
