Well, last season Modric was top with 10 (9 in the league).

I guess 8+ is really good.

Depends on the position though.

2 seasons ago Fabregas finished with 20 assists in the league. Last season Lampard finished top with only 10 assists. Fabregas is now top of the list with 9 or 10 (can't remember) already.

Attacking players should be contributing to at least 10 goals (assists or goals).

I'd agree with this, 8 assists doesn't sound all that much but it is a good tally.

Amazing to think that Lennon got 50% of his league assists in one game today!

Kranjcar scored against Burnley and Bolton before today, so now actually has three goals for us this season - in a limited number of appearances as well. What a signing!

From memory of OPTA stats over the past few seasons half-a-dozen is highly respectable, double figures outstanding. Of course you can create lots of attempts, like Downing a couple of seasons ago, and have crap strikers who can't convert any of them!

Has Crouch really played that many games (15 starts, 7 subs)?

I think it's 15 appearances, 7 of which were as sub, so 8 starts.

I was just going to say Bentley's stats look pretty decent, but he hasn't scored a Premier League goal yet, not sure where you are getting your stats from.

Ah. All nighter last night (our game kicked off at midnight here and then we scored 9 so I couldn't sleep). Still, I didn't think he'd made that many appearances. Hudd, too. He's played in every league game and were 4th, level with Arsenal. Not too shabby from the big man. Harry is clearly a fan.

There's no way of altering it but one (yes I am posh) should always consider that anything can be an assist. For example, Lennon passing it two yards for Defoe's hatrick goal at Hull is the same as his two terrific crosses yesterday for Crouch and Defoe's first. Still, with three goals to boot and a period out he is doing fantastically well.

Like someone said, 8 starts, 7 appearances as a sub.

Bentley's stats aren't too shabby in his 108 minutes of PL footie.

It's all from yesterday. His free-kick and his pass for Kranjcar's goal.

I was just going to say Bentley's stats look pretty decent, but he hasn't scored a Premier League goal yet, not sure where you are getting your stats from.

I gave him the free-kick. Wasn't sure, but decided to go that way. Maybe I'll change it but I thought it was his goal all the way.

Those two crosses were great, but the way he set up Defoe at Hull was pretty good too I thought.

You're true though. Anything can be an assist. But when you're getting 5 or 10 or 15, it says something.

the two seasons berbatov was with us he scaored 20+ goals and had 20+ assists in all comps. a 20/20 player. Rooney was similar and Herny did it all the time. AS a winger, in a top team (of which we are) i think 15 assits every 38 starts is a par score.
