1. You know that for a fact, or is that your opinion?
2. Who said anything about automatic starter. If permission is given to talk to him he'll be aware of the terms of his contract.
3. Players get injuries, doesn't make them invaluable.
4. What he has lost in pure athleticism, he makes up for with experience/reading the game....????.....(might be stretching my credibility with this one).
see post above. imo he wouldn't be a bad addition to the squad.
1) If having a vague recollection that when he left Chelsea, and when he left Newcastle he said he wants to 'play', and again a vague recollection that he has since said the same (I wouldn't be appy sitting on bench), then fact...if disputed, hell, I ain't gonna spend the next five hours trying to produce prrof for ya, fella, take-it-or-leave-it, eh:shrug:
2) I would be reasonably happy if he was witting on the bench for us, but, obviously, if I am right about 1, above, then two is correct also. I just can't see him being a player who would be happy to sit on the bench, but he definitely isn't so good as to walk straight into the team every time he returns from injury...but, again, I can't prove it...so, by all means, think it would be a good transfer, and if it happens and you turn out to be right
WOOOHOOO
3) Obviously, King is valuable...if some reports are to be believed, Parker's knee is almost as bad a Ledley's. Do you really think it would be wise to fill up a squad place with 20 games a season man, who isn't good enough to walk into our first team when fit...what would the point of that be?
4) It is my subjective opinion...I am sure he has learned a biton the way (don't we all:wink, but I really do think that when he left Charlton was the time to sign him. He chose Chelsea. We then tried to sign him when he left them, and he chose Newcastle. We then tried to sell him and he chose Wet Spam. I have become progressively less enthralled with the idea. But like I said, it is just my opinion...so go on, knock yourself out with your Scotty Parker related shenanigans:grin:
