Second Sponsorship

I was about to type that i couldn't see this happening as we've had a sponsor deal with a BMW dealership for a few years now, then checked out the site and they are no longer there, so i assume they won't be continuing their sponsorship this season, which might have something to do with the Merc rumours.....or not.

Yeah. Autonomy are nowhere to be found on the McLaren car, only the Mercedes.

that link is all about our new deal with Thomas Cook (on the official site) but has nothing to suggest that will be our new kit sponsor as far as i can tell

My reading of that article is that we have simply extended out contract with them to be our official travel partner for more money, rather than given them the shirt sponsorship for the cup games.

The CL is mentionned merely as a link to the fact they will offer travel packages for those games

I cant see why people think mercedes would sponsor us just becuase autonomy sponsor them?

I have close ties with MB UK and MB DE and haven't heard anything along these lines or any idle chit chat/gossip with regards to this. So will be incredibly surprised if it is the case.

Like I said in a previous thread, if it is a car manufacturer it'd be one lower down the scale looking to improve their image/get noticed (Kia would be the smart mans choice). As opposed to a premium brand that doesn't need to waste money. Only reason MB sponsor Stuttgart (naming rights to the stadium) is that's where they're based, and the German national team is so BMW/VW don't, it's a pride thing.
