Would you really though? A genuine question because I have no doubt that you are a lifelong Spurs fan who is in a privileged position to hold a season ticket.

100% mate and I've held this ticket for 16 years not only me but my son aswell and he's been a ST holder for 6 years. 14 years old and he has more passion for Spurs than most and it's his decision not the rantings of his old man.

Another question, as this one I am interested in and have no idea what the outcome would be from fans.

When would you give up your season ticket? (This is open to all not just yid1o, and also stop going to games)

Would it be if levy says we are moving or when we have moved? or something else

Really sorry to hear that, especially as your son represents the next generation of Spurs fans, the lifeblood of the Club. Let's hope this concern is all in vain then and the vote washes away any anguish ahead.

I'm 667 on the waiting list and will take it when offered, wherever it may be - I've waited too long to be a victim of my own misgivings.

Poll was done on COYS as well, same thing (but they have a multi poll with different questions as well, we cant on here and i was lazy and 1 poll was enough...)

They also split it to season ticket holders and non season ticket holders. Their results:

Season Ticket Holders:
Happily support the team in its new home (91 votes [47.89%])
Grudgingly follow the team to its new home (68 votes [35.79%])
Only attend away games (15 votes [7.89%])
Choose another club to be my primary team in England (3 votes [1.58%])
Give up on English club football (and perhaps on football entirely) (13 votes [6.84%])

Non season ticket holders:
Happily support the team in its new home (277 votes [59.96%])
Grudgingly follow the team to its new home (148 votes [32.03%])
Only attend away games (11 votes [2.38%])
Choose another club to be my primary team in England (3 votes [0.65%])
Give up on English club football (and perhaps on football entirely) (23 votes [4.98%])

If I'm being honest here Chris, and its a personal view, it wouldn't surprise me if some liberties were taking by a fair few with regards their actual status...but I'm a cynucal sod by nature so who am I to say thats the case.

you could be right. Will say again, I dont want us to move.

But there will be a few years colling off period if we move or not for the new stadium. People might decide between then they will still go
Some wont, but others might. Just my opinion though

Come the end of the month and, God forbid, they accept our bid, is there anyway we can renege on the deal or will it be set in stone?

I believe it goes to "due diligence" for a period of time.

It seems that the younger lot are more pro Stratford than the old'uns like me which makes me very sad. Good luck with the ST, maybe you'll get mine

No, that's a very fair point but I'll throw another thought your way.

Being brought up in Goon territory, I have an unfairly large number of Goon pals (thank you God, I blame you for my sufferings of late)...a lot of them are true, loyal fans.

All went to the Emirates...within the space of 5 years, only half that number attend, and more are considering calling it a day...the reason, its just not the same for them (with reference to the Emirates itself)...and believe me, they have witnessed some turgid football in their time.

I expect the same to happen with us....for sure, Highbury was a far more 'real' football experience, for want of a better word, then the Emirates could ever hope to be based on personal experience.

would this not be the same effect in a new stadium at the OS or one over WHL (even if not so much)

Also our stadium is meant to be being built with the fans in mind. To help the atmosphere of the crowd.

They might say it's simply the stadium itslef, but maybe there's a deeper association with Arsenal not having won anything there? It was never going to be as exciting for them after the invincibles year, and for most of the time since then, they've been in the Emirates. If we move to Stratford with the best still yet to come, and continue to improve once there, the associations with the stadium would be different.

Just a suggestion mind...

I can categorically say, that these guys, given their age, have seen Arsenals very lean years...you think our last decade or so has been bad, they can match that with ease. And as the 'supposed' good times are just around the corner due to the promised influx of wealth, that has caused no breaking of ice so to speak.

What would you say if I put it to you, that the reason Levy decided to go for the South Bank idea, was not out of listening to the fans wishes, but due to the fact that investigations revealed that uptake of corporate boxes was not as they hoped it would be, and that was the reason the corporate ring around the ground was shelved?

Doesn't surprise me, younger people often make more rational decisions whereas older people tend to make ones that defy sense, possibly because they're more stuck in their ways. I can see if you've been going to the lane 20 times a year for the last 30 years you might not want to leave. Older people are more resistant to change, no matter what the potential benefits.

Are you saying that's true? I don't care either way but I have my doubts that they would know now what the uptake in boxes would be at the new stadium.

I have a few Arsenal mates that feel the same way. Mind you Highbury wasn't known for its atmosphere :) and the Emirates is even worse. They made a lot of mistakes with that ground, not keep the slightly vocal North bank fans together. Seats far away from the pitch, and the fact they do have a fair number of johnny come lately fans.
Having the most expensive seats in the country dont help either.
And of course the corporate middle ring must be an atmospheric killer.

still their club as much as yours.
Also those 'armchair fans' might go to the game if we had a new stadium at the OS.
And im sure that we all know the history of the club. Going to the Lane every week doesn't give you more knowledge on that.

Some of us have no choice but to be armchair fans for evening games when the last train to parts of Kent leaves Charing x at 10pm. Stratfords excellent multi links will help everyone getting to and away from the ground.

Lots of people I meet in the pubs at the ground come from Belgium/ Germany etc and with Stratfords fast train connection that will surely grow.
