Lets see who is wanted most. Not doing the likes of Benzema because it isn't going to happen so will list the more realistic ones in line with the ITK.

Carroll isn't going to happen either (this window anyway), so I'll keep it simple and keep it to 4 options.

This is all assuming that there will only be one big incoming in the striker department - which is most likely.

Didn't mention Hulk either as that doesn't seem likely.

Caught between Suarez and Rossi... in fact I'd take any of the four of them!

Went for Suarez in the end, more tenacious if a little less classy, and they are both younger than the other two.

Same as myself mate...exactly. I really like the look of Rossi (two goals so far tonight as well by the way!) a really classy little player.

Suarez could really be suited to this League though and we need someone like that....

That said Rossi has played here and knows this League and the language.

Bit torn myself.

I am leaning towards Rossi - so I voted for him, but would be delighted with Suarez also.

1. Suarez
2. Rossi
3. Forlan
4. Fabiano

All 4 would be a good upgrade on Pav imo. To replace Pav they need good technique and shooting. To improve on him they need to be more involved and work effortlessly.

Then in the summer replace Crouch with either Carroll, Lukaku, Kalinic or Adebayor. The best one we can afford really. Kalinic being the most affordable I think, although he doesn't have the power of the others. I dont think we'd get either of these in this window.

To replace Crouch we need someone who wins headers, has good hold up play, can assist and works hard. To improve on him they need to be more powerful with better shooting.

That for me is why crouch is harder to replace than Pav. With Pav you only really need to replace his eye for goal, but with Crouch we need to get an all round player. The Crouch replacement is going to be harder to get.

I'm not too hot on overseas players in all honesty so can't really make a choice, but I'd love a big, strong, fast bully up front who delivers on balls and quality. Someone who not only scores his share, but weighs in with a few assists and gets on the ball up front a lot more than 10 times a game to provide the pivot for our extensive array of attacking talent to really shine.

Basically get me Drogba!

Forlan is the player I most of all would like to see in a Spurs shirt,
and gave my vote as there was no Lukaku option. However, as with Forlan and to a certain point Fabiano, I wonder whether it's financially viable and logical.
Their clubs are wanting too much for these two veterans.
No sell on value, just a few years left in the game .. I'm unsure how smart it's to invest 10-20 mills on men of this age.

I'm no Rossi expert, but could he really play upfront with VDV?

Suarez makes most sense of the players in the poll,
and even him isnt a perfect match in my opinion.

I'm not particularly excited by any of them to be honest.

So I'll go with Suarez, because he has a "z" in his surname.

Order of goodness:

1) Forlan
2) Rossi
3) Fabiano
4) Suarez

Taking age and price into consideration:

1) Rossi
2) Forlan
3) Suarez
4) Fabiano

Rossi for me.

Who would you like?...realistically speaking of course. I would of thought most of them would seem reasonably exciting given the prowess of our existing strike force

Well out of the 4 I've seen Forlan the most, he is a wonderful player indeed but is he the type of player we're looking for? I certainly wouldn't say no to him though, because he is a top player, no doubt about it.

Suarez and Rossi, forgive my ignorance, are not players I can really pass comment on at all, nor Fabiano really, although from what I saw in the World Cup he is the type of striker I think we need, but can't say with any degree of certainty whether he is of the required quality.

So basically, in order not to splinter my balls sitting on this fence, I'll plump for Forlan, because there's no doubting his quality, but ideally we'd be getting in the next Drogba for peanuts!

It's a shame because in the last few years we've had 2 perfect lone frontmen in Berba and Kanoute, I'm pretty sure they'd be making hay with the quality we have gong forward now.

Good question.

What we need, in my opinion, is a Drogba type striker, one who would combine the strengths of our existing quartet but all wrapped up into one player.

I have no idea who that person would be, but I assume our scouting network, or at the very least Spursking, could come up with someone.

Suarez for me. I hear he really likes to get his teeth into the opposition.

Wouldn't say no to any of them right now. Forlan has become a fantastic player in recent years, but Suarez's youth and zeal for winning edges it for me.

I haven't seen much of Francis Rossi as a footballer if I'm honest with you, but his name keeps getting mentioned so I guess he must be pretty good. Wouldn't he miss a lot of games through tours and Live Aid tv documentaries though?

So in summary....Carlton Cole.

Age should be the key factor here. It would be a tremendous waste to buy Forlan/ Fabiano and have them lose half a yard by next season and just turn into another Robbie Keane (Old, overpaid and impossible to get rid of). I wouldn't have minded Forlan or Fabiano last summer, but now they'd be silly signings.
