Man u get 75,000 from all over the country, how do they cope? serious question by the way.

Old Trafford has a tram line from the the city centre, and is pretty close to the motorway. I am not too sure, in terms of of parking. It is basically an "out of town" stadium though, although the area has seen some development build up there recently.

Just reading the original post it makes a case for leaving White Hart Lane and moving to the Olympic Park but thinking on the title "Spurs must move" I wonder what happens if we don't get the OS, does it still follow that we must move if so where to? I ask because this hasn't been addressed in this thread but is a realistic possibility given Daniel Levy's recent statements, does anyone think he may have other sites in mind? How would people feel about Cockfosters for example?

Anybody see David Mitchell's anti-Spurs bid tirade on Channel 4's 10 o'clock live last night?

Over-simplified argument, with no mention of Spurs' plan to refurb the athletic facilities at Crystal Palace. Blatant misinformation, presumably garnered from the pages of the redtop press with no attempt at further research.
Levy really needs to engage a good PR firm if he hasn't already done so (and it doesn't look as though he has)

You can catch it on 4OD. Worth a look, as it also has the delicious Lauren Laverne.

Don't suppose David Mitchell has ever been to an Athletics meeting, hardly anybody has.

Facts?

All of those who would question other Spurs fans' loyalty because they don't want to go to Stratford, not only need to look up the definition of what a fact is, but you are completely out of order. If there's going to be any division over this issue it's not going to be over the, admittedly sometimes heated, debate we have over the move, but it will be over idiotic views like this.

Big turnip, I'm sure you're a good person and like all of us want the very best for Spurs, however because I and others agree with the O.P's comments doesn't mean to say that our opinions are "idiotic" or that we are questioning other fans loyalty.........What appears to have upset you is the O.P's comment "a lot of fans are saying they wouldn't go to Stratford to support Spurs, well are they really Spurs fans as the O.P would go anywhere to watch Spurs play because they are in his blood"
The interpretation here is he would would follow Spurs anywhere and fails to understand why, after taking into consideration all the different facts and arguments that we've been made privy to, would we want to continue to stay in an area with inherent logistical and transport problems that are not condusive of a club aiming for continuous top 4 and Champions league spots ?

Seriously, I'd have to get to Cockfosters?

Sorry, but that is :bs: To question whether somebody is Tottenham fan because they want the club to stay in Tottenham is a derisory position to take, and agreeing with it is just as bad.

Agreed, but questioning our support for the club is an entirely different issue.
I dont think anyone is questioning your loyalty, just your flexibility if it came to the crux.*

* The crux being an environment in which the Club can progress and expand both on and off the pitch.

We don't need to move. We need a new stadium. Fact.
Explain how we are going to get one, we cannot borrow the money now to expensive at the current rates and to risky, for the long term development of the club.

Precisely, but it seems most people don't seem to be able to separate the two.

So you that we need a new stadium? Does that mean that in the hypothetical situation that we had to move to Stratford or stay in the current capacity WHL you would move?

No, but this is another example of people not being able to distinguish between increased capacity and moving to Stratford. Priority 1 is staying in Tottenham, everything else I want for the club I want in Tottenham.

Agree entirely. If we move to Stratford we would become another AEG franchise. They want the OS for other things than football. Bollocks to that.
We leave Tottenham and that's it from me. I'm not going to Stratford to sit with all the glory hunting JCL's that will appear. Where were you when we were shit.
Anyone noticed how crap the atmosphere has been at the lane for the past 2-3 years. Old school fans have been priced or pushed away, that's not what I want to continue.

1) Don't then. I'm sure these "JCL's" (otherwise known as Spurs members) will be glad they can get a seat. I don't think we've been successful enough to have a wave of glory hunters start supporting the club.

2) They were probably trying to get tickets for WHL.

3) I suppose the easiest way for us to stay in Tottenham is to double the ticket prices.

I love this club, but some people cant differenciate between the club and the area.
