I prefer this little ditty:

White Hart Lane is the ground
For the best team around
And to see them just fills you with wonder
So we'll sing them along
With a Spurs football song
Tottenham Hotspur,
The pride of North London

*everybodysing*

NICE ON CYRIL, NICE ONE SON!!

I don't want to be pedantic but I will be, I'm tired of saying it but Newham is not in the EAST END!!!!
Why can't people get this??

You're quite right it's further east than the East End, I suppose the East East End.

Last time I looked we were 15th in the world in terms of sales revenue and that was before we got CL football. I would guess that for 2010-11 we will move up to about 12 th. That does not back up the statements constantly made that we cannot compete. If we cannot compete it will not be because our stadium only holds 36000 . After all Chelsea holds only 42000 and Liverpool 45000 . I will be interested to see the gap between Liverpool and ourselves for this season.
The reason we cannot compete is that our Chairman was too incompetent to bring in the players we needed.to keep the club moving forward. So if we climb up to 12th in the world this year in our tiny little stadium we will now slip back again with CL unlikely without those players.
I would rather we were 12 th in the world in sales revenue or even 15th which is hardly a disaster than move to east London. Levy is a master at hiding his own shortcomings. Previously it was because we had incompetent coaches or directors of football. Now it is because our stadium is too small.anything to avoid facing the truth - that our failure to get into the CL next season has nothing to do with the size of our stadium.

By the way the map of London geographic fan base is very revealing. A solid line moving north through Haringey, Enfield and outer London. If we have to move we should relocate somewhere within that band or not move at all. Certainly not into the heart of Spam territory. The point made in the video about fan safety in East London should not be ignored nor should our traditions. I like the part about where we would parade if and when we win trophies. Through the streets of Newham or would we go back to the streets of Haringey which will be like a ghost borough after we move out.
Nice to hear that Liverpool are staying put. Their Board recognize their traditions revolve around the Kop just as ours does around the Shelf, Paxton and Park Lane. Somehow Stratford High Street doesn't have the same feel.

Re the great Bill Nicholson. Sad to say that wherever we move (even if it is NPD) Sir Bill's ashes will have to removed. Although realistically, how much of them do you think are on the pitch still? Also, in terms of how he would feel if we moved into West Ham territory - isn't that where he went after he finished as our manager? And I don't think any of us really blamed him at the time because we and he knew that wherever he was, he would always be Tottenham. (Get the analogy?)

Where is the famous British pioneering spirit in that question? I just hear fear. When we move and settle we do so cos we've conquered the natives. Be a true British pioneer and take the small step east!

Don't know where you learn't geography....

Postcode maybe, but waltham forest and Hackney are as much North as they are East.

If any of have read Daniel Levy's response to all you anti-Stratford supporters, he actually has very good reason to move, and to not listen to you handful of supporters who are anti-Stratford.

If makes sense financially and for the growth of the club, do you handful of selfish supporters in the N17 area really want to hold the club back just so the stadium is nearer to you?

Levy said himself that the majority of supporters travel about 40miles to WHL, so the people near WHL are again, just a MINORITY!

There are many reasons why the Olympic park would be better than a move just next to WHL. It has much better transport links, which would benefit the majority of the fans, unfortunately you hardcore anti-Stratford fans might lose out on because you live near WHL, but again that is selfish as you are only a handful of supporters.

If Tottenham moved to the Olympic stadium it would be built much quicker, would be easier to build hence probably cheaper and less hassle.

To sum it up, you handful of supporters who are anti-Stratford, you are all just simply being selfish, as Mr. Levy has said numerous times, its in the best interest of the club and it moving forward, if we stayed in the N17 area that would be holding back the club, are you really that selfish that you prefer to club to stay in N17 but be holding it back?

You just don't get it do you .

It's not about where the fans come from or if they even come at all . It's about where the club comes from .

I live over 40 miles away and am opposed to the proposed move to Stratford because of the effect it would have on the area we originated .

Do you know that the rules governing association football were written so the club would be a benefit to the community from which it arose ?

You seem to worship the ground Levy walks over . It's people like you and him who are the selfish ones .

I don't think the club should leave N17 and move to Stratford

I live approx 18500 miles away.

Ok, you live 40 miles away and oppose the proposed move, you're still a minority.

Again, you live far away and you oppose it, yet you're still the minority.

Another thing we need to consider is that SC is again, only a MINORITY of the whole Tottenham fan base, we might see a majority of people on SC against the proposed move despite how far or close they live, but that doesn't mean very much, as you're still a minority!

you need to stop swallowing levy's spin so easily. Its not a minority.where we live has nothing to do with like the poster that replied to you above said.I live miles away and the last thing i want is for the club to go to stratford.
