We could move to the USA. They have lots of space for a new stadium.

And no one seems to be too bothered about moving away from our area, so what's the bother about moving continents?

Constructive, Nice

Also isn't that comment a little bit contradictive, as you have already said "all the season ticket holders don't want to move"

Why don't we just knock down WHL and make the model of it now, but in 3 tiers, the first of all being underground??

I guess there'd be problems Nick but at least we're not knocking down listed buildings and don't forget there will be a brand spanking new athletics facility in the Olympic Park that will be available 365 days a year :)

Because then everyone would call us Mole-People. You haven't thought this through!

We were unable to leave our ground... now we dwell beneath it, a lost and broken and bitter species.

There seems loads of empty space round IKEA. Have never seen the car park full.
Swap our current site with Ikea. not sure of the time to get to Tottenham Hale?

There were several proposed/rumoured sites around the Tottenham Hale area, mainly because of the rumours that National Rail were going to expand Northumberland Park and the Underground were going to extend the Victoria line up to it, but since then it appears that the plans NR had will mean no room for the tube. Bit of a bummer, there's a massive area there that's only served by roads and that one railway line - to open it up to the public by introducing a tube station (or a more regular and reliable overground service i suppose) would benefit everyone with no-complaints. There's no residential areas to upset, simply tons of marsh or industrial land.

Whilst there are plenty of plots of open land available, the chances of getting planning permission will again be a chore, conservationists would complain about the naturalised sites being bulldozed and, just like the way clubs knew we were after a striker and made it hard for us, everyone knows we want to build a stadium now, so every single thing the club does will be poured over by every minor concern group going.

This is going to get tough if we genuinely can't continue with the NDP as proposed.

It is RSS that's why I wondered if they'd look further afield, somewhere Enfield or perhaps even Essex or Herts off the M25.

I'd be as unhappy about moving to Essex or Herts as I was about moving to Stratford tbh, probably more unhappy as it would have none of the benefits of Stratford but all of the bad stuff.

I really think we should go ahead with the NDP and attempt to build bridges with the local authority.
I am worried that Levy may be tempted to wait for the spammers to go disasterously wrong, that could even come about quite soon if they get relegated.
For me Lord Coe and West Ham going to get the"Olympic Legacy" they deserve and it will end in tears.
I'm not quite sure about the extra £200 mil the NDP would cost and how that figure is reached but I can't now see any alternative than Haringey and I hope we don't start considering Milton Keynes or Dublin or something daft like that.

It's not going to go wrong for West Ham though, I'm afraid this is their passport to success and they will be the ones to say it isn't working and we need to get rid of the track and rebuild when it suits them.
Any suggestions for a site in Haringey 3D'?

I really do believe this is a discussion we have to have eventually if the NDP really is dead.

I've been looking at the New River Stadium area all afternoon and I have to say, it looks like a great solution. Surrounded by multiple railway lines and a couple of tube lines. Big site and easily enough space for the new stadium. Only a 20 minute walk from the current WHL.

Surely this must be a viable option?

Has anyone written in to the club about this possible option, I may write an email now, it seems like it could be a great shout.

Must admit that I'm struggling to come up with a suitable alternative (one with better transport links, would cost less than the NDP etc).

Edit: Just checked out the New River thing - could work, but it looks like it's owned by Haringey and I'm guessing we're not in their good books at the moment.

I'm sure Haringey would rather have Tottenham in the borough than out. I still think the club has a good relation with the local council, only Lammy was throwing a tantrum.

It is, and we're not.

It's a no-no anyway. Wood Green tube is slightly nearer than Seven Sisters, but the good news ends there. Alexandra Palace, Bowes Park and White Hart Lane are the same order of distance as SS, and there's not much in the way of watering holes en route; there's just the one bus route, and if you think driving along the High Road after a game is no fun, you'll just love White Hart Lane.
