OK time will tell. I personaly don't think he is the right player for us. however if he does sign he will have my support.

Has more of the qualities we should be looking for than Rossi does..and yet you want to sign Rossi...

Ross is out and out goal scorer we need that. He scored 30 goals last season. While Vucinic will get you 10 if we are lucky. I know what you gonna say next his link up play we got VDV for that.

Isn't Defoe an "out and out goal scorer"?

How well did he do in our setup last season...

And i won't even entertain the "10 if were lucky" comment.

What's Defoe got to do with this keep him and have Rossi.

All I am saying Vucinic is not a goal scorer why wast millions on him.

you seem to be missing the point.

In our system Rossi could end up being a luxury just like Defoe is. we are not a total football side so unless we are gonna sign an Adebayor type player to play alongside Rossi, then it would be a waste of money (IMO)

One of the key reasons people want Vucinic is that he can be the focal point of our attack, can hold up play, plus he can also play on the shoulder or come deep, and he does his with excellent technique.

Ideal for playing up top with VDV behind and could also link up with whomever is left whether it be Pav, or Defoe (no one can link up with Circus man)

Do you really think we have the footballing nous to play with a little man as the focal point in the majority of games?

And when played up front Vucinic is a goal scorer.

I kind of agree with this, and is surely the reason why Redknapp didn't go for Suarez??

Our football on the ground is good but not that good, we often go long and don't play to feet in the final 3rd.

Anyway if we did sign Rossi we'd either need to improve our football almost instantly, play 4-4-2 with say Rossi + 1 upfront, or play 4-3-3 and put Rossi on the right of the front 3. Don't think he'd have a problem playing there.

Maybe a bit of a twist in the Vucinic deal (from a Italian site)....?

http://www.romagiall..._medium=twitter

According to reports from the portal calciomercatonews.com, Tottenham has not yet been surrendered for Mirko Vucinic. When the player's transfer to Juventus Montenegro seemed a done deal, there was a sudden onslaught of the London Society for the talent of Rome. David Bentley, Robbie Keane and Niko Kranjcar are the three players including the Giallorossi can choose to replace your player , which would cover the assessment set on 15 million euros.

Keane and Niko would do well over there, Totti would take one look at Bentley and lol.

Kranjcar is the most viabile consideration though...seriously. 5 million and Kranjcar for Vucinic would be a master stroke by Levy.

But its probably all balls.

isn't it reporting it would be 15m Euros plus they take their pick of one of those players?

I seriously doubt there are 4 clubs in for him. Some sort of interest from Juve but other than that it's if he wants to come here.

well after Brownheads ITK looks like Mirko needs convincing...

Come on Mirko, you will be loved here, we have no Totti or Ultras to stand in your way, and if you are at any games this weekend do not listen to the mindless few booing Modric, he just hurt our feelings a little.

we love the type of player you are and you will be loved after the first time you control a football in our colours (something our strikers have trouble with)
