Seems to be hanging on for dear life. :bang:

He seriously needs to move on for the sake of his own career.

Hopefully QPR make a bid for him.

I really don't mind JJ. He counts as a homegrown player and is pretty solid when called upon. Good squad player too.

It's pathetic. He's in his prime. He should be playing week in week out for a bottom 6 club.

A lot of players nowadays seem to be content with sitting on the bench most weeks and just picking up a wage for doing very little. They have no drive or ambiton anymore, unfortunately we appear to have a few of these types of players.

criticizing a player because he wants to stay at a club he feels settled at? maybe he feels he'll still get plenty of games over the course of the season, and he probably will

I remember when people used to slate Jenas after he had a bad game. Now he gets it in the neck just for existing? Poor attempt at a thread and a waste of the internet.

I think the OP has a point. Jenas should be starting week in week out for Villa or somebody, he's good enough for that.

Why is Huddlestone still here?
He could be still getting regular games with Derby County.

Hudd was a promising youngster when he signed though, you don't generally walk into sides at that age. Jenas is 28 and at the moment 5th choice in his position at the club.

He wasn't a promising youngster three years later when Jenas and Zokora were still keeping out of the side. Or four years later when Jenas and Palacios were keeping him out of the side. And he isn't now when players like Kranjcar and Livermore are.

And even last season, Jenas put in more decent performances than Huddelstone did, 6 years after he was "a promising youngster".

We can upgrade both of these and should. But Jenas has had far more influence on our rise as a club over the last 6 years than Huddelstone has.
