A lot clearer, as some of others didn't pick up on it either.

I know what both of those things are and I also know what ignorance is, I've heard a lot worse said on this forum where the posters have actually meant every word they stated, so excuse me if I haven't picked up immediately that he was being sarcastic.

I'd sympathise in some cases but as a general rule when you read something like this instance and it seems too stupid/ignorant to believe its almost certainly sarcasm.

He's so clearly guilty, originally I didn't know one way or another but the fact that he has concocted some bullshit story in a similar way to a 5yr old when they're in trouble shoe he's guilty as fuck!

Also Ferdinand would have cleared him by now, he may well do that tomorrow but if so the day of silence will just show that some agreement has been reached behind the scenes.

There is a difference between comparing a white person to a monkey and a black person to a monkey.

As a human being I have no problem being compared to a monkey. I'm of the opinion just like many others that we came from monkeys. I'd certainly much prefer to be called a monkey than say a devil which is a common insult against my heritage.

Problem is racial insults against my heritage aren't big news so get swept under the carpet and filed away as 'didn't happen'

Like I said, I've read a lot worse on these forums, I don't know if the use of the old school term 'coloured people' is part of the sarcasm or not. It's a big audience out there so it may not be the few people on this thread who may have misconstrued what he said.

You can hammer home a point about political correctness if you wish, but I'm sure you understand that calling a black person a monkey isn't the wisest thing to do, given the history of racism.

If you're talking about the incident with another poster on this forum then I would say you have a right to feel aggrieved, if your talking about incidents that have had little media coverage, post some examples.

Not to the monkey there's not.

(When I say monkey, I mean monkey, not the white person or the black person).

I remember when I was at infant school, and there was only one black person in our school..a girl called Miriam.

I can't remember exactly how old I was - maybe about 5 - but being the curious child that I was, I asked her why she was a different colour to everyone else.

I promptly got dragged away by the teacher, had my parents called in, was given a massive lecture about things I didn't understand (one of the first of many), then made to apologise to her for suggesting she was 'different'.

I think she was as confused as me. It was only the teachers that seemed to get upset.

Not really sure where I'm going with this, so in summary...whether he's a racist or not,Terry is still a twat.

Racist! You can't compare people to monkeys!

There's something rather surreal about being told that by a cat.

He's so clearly guilty, originally I didn't know one way or another but the fact that he has concocted some bullshit story in a similar way to a 5yr old when they're in trouble shoe he's guilty as fuck!

I'm actually not sure now. Terrys excuse is vaguely plausible. It's far too good an excuse for him to have made up. If he was making up an excuse it would be something like "I just asked him if he'd had his Back Plastered".

It's only unwise if you equate the term monkey as a bad thing. Personally I don't as once again I'm of the opinion we came from monkey's. You can call me a monkey as much as you want and I won't be offended. Unless you're talking about Planet of the Apes type monkey where they were the baddies. I wouldn't like that. Just like I don't being a called a Devil irrespective of my religious views. It implies me and my heritage are all bad.

Over the years I already have posted examples and true to form they by and large get skipped over and not responded to. When they have been responded to it's an attack on the source with nothing to say about the content. The last example of that was a few months ago which was written by a Priest's wife who wrote about her experience of living in a no go white area in Birmingham. She was glad to move back to London was the outcome.

This is a general rule is it? Do you use both eyes to consult the general rule book or is one eye blind?

I remember Terry saying something to King in a game a few years ago when all the black Spurs players around him suddenly went up in arms and Terry's team-mates were very quick to walk away from him rather than get involved.

wasn't he sent off for his rasict remark to Ledley?

as there was nothing obvious that he did to get sent off...

Clearly not Blind that he says though (clearly) and calling a player blind does not even make any sense. just seems like a few Terry fans are clutching at straws.
