I was at this game in 2009 where Lennon scored and had about 5 assists. He was incredible that day, I want THAT Lennon back.

Good afternoon from Spurs Lodge! First team coach Joe Jordan has run through the team news ahead of tomorrow night's match against Wigan at the Lane. Joe reports that both Jermain Defoe and Aaron Lennon are doubtful with hamstring injuries picked up in Friday night's win against Watford. "We'll have to see how they settle down," said Joe. "They won't train with the squad today and we'll see how they are tomorrow."

You still going?

Lennon Modric Sandro Bale

VDV Defoe

Ade was shocking against Watford plus defoe scored 5 against wigan a couple of years back so easy change there. Sandro if fit in place of parker.

The thing I don't understand is people suggesting Defoe instead of Ade because of Ade being terrible against Watford. What about Defoe? He was terrible too, it was just a bit less obvious because he barely touched the ball. Following that logic it should be Pav up front.

Brackets are if injured. It's the standard problem we've had for a while now - the back-up up front is simply not good enough, so we're left with hoping that Ade is in a good mood.

According to Joe Jordan Sandro wont play tomorrow night, needs to build up his fitness. Lennon also a doubt as is Defoe. I think that could mean Pienaar will play on the right, unless JD gets passed fit and VDV will get shoved out right side again.

When has Adebayor looked like scoring recently? He cant seem to shift the ball out from underneath his feet. At least Defoe shoots which is what a strikers main job is.

If memoery serves me right, he has "scored" a few but they have been ruled wrongly offside. Also to put Defoe ahead of Adebayor is crazy in the extreme. Defoe hardly touches the ball.

You could argue that a kick up the arse might be what Ade needs now.

You could, but not sure the best way to do that is to detriment the team.

I'd rather Joe Jordan just headbutted him and told him to pull his finger out.

Oh absolutely, but as I say, the cover just isn't good enough. I don't have enough faith in Pav, and Defoe was really disappointing against Watford too.
