Thats ALOT. that kind of money puts us on par with the big boys, add to that the match day revenue etc and WOW.
I don't think we'd see any of the £400million for players, etc - it's for the stadium

But that would virtually pay for the stadium immediately. That would mean all of the extra income from the new site could go into paying wages etc. We wouldn't be in the same position as the Scum have been for the last few years where the new development impedes investment into the playing side.I don't think we'd see any of the £400million for players, etc - it's for the stadium

from today's Telegraph, rumours a month back that it is with Qatari Airlines
Hope not.
Always been a source of pride that we are not funded by companies effectively run by dictatorial regimes that opress women and minorities and practice torture. I can't promise that I'll stop going if it is but it'll leave a slightly bitter taste
A £400m deal would, indeed, sort the stadium though. Even if £400m is not the precise figure we'd easily be able to raise any extra through profits or gate receipts.
Still think we should have made the capacity 61k to commemorate the double and annoy the scum

Exactly. That is a very, very good amount to bring in and will cover the entire stadium i'm sure(don't know exact figures?) Either way it will leave a lot of space for us to generate revenue from match day/other events and sponsorships.
is it me, or does it sound too good to be true? just like that? financing for the stadium is sorted?
I wouldn't get hung up on that. Money is money and has no emotion. If we take 400 mil from a regime for sponsorship it is a good deal for us and thats the end of it really. The fight for equal rights, human rights, etc is more political and moral fight than a financial one.
take they're money, enjoy it.

If this is true I would like to see a better stadium development personally as the current development is just not worth £400 million
