Warnock's comments only really imply he is a little angry at Townsend for deciding to cut short his loan, not that he didn't like him previously or for personal/playing reasons.

I can understand his frustration, its a player less he has at his disposal and the reason for it seems somewhat pathetic.

Not being able to settle? he's only on loan for a short time for chirst sake and it was a decision made based on what would be best for his development as a player.

Warnock seems to be suggesting the player decided to leave because he heard of Birmingham's interest and fancied that more, we shall see. Personally I am a little disappointed by the attitude that this suggest for a player to be cutting short spells for such reasons.

Don't forget that this article is all Leeds putting their spin on things - and the reason given seems a bit thin. if Warnock wanted to keep him, I suspect that he could have found a way. It could be, for example that Warnock was not very encouraging about Townsend playing week in week out and hence the remark about Townsend going to Birmingham (where ex Spurs coach Chris Hughton would probably be likely to play him).

I doubt if we will hear Townsend's version so its all suposition atr the moment.

Townsend back?

Andros Townsend has cut short his loan spell at Leeds after his agent claims he didnt settle in Leeds.

After saturdays game u lot were sayin how good I was and now 2day I'm a 'shit waste of space'..........

Oh and thank to the minority of you that have wished me good luck x

Some of his tweets, some LUFC fans giving him stick, it seems to be all over twitter that he is going to birmingham, would be good to see him link up with Chris Hughton

Think it would be s good idea to come off Twitter for a while, especially if he is gonna retaliate

To be fair to Colin he has been hired to get Leeds promoted, and he won't necessarily have room for a very attack minded player such as Andros, who might not always be inclined to help out defensively.

Chris Hughton would be good for Townsend though.

Seems to struggle on loan everywhere he goes. Needs to look at how walker conducted himself last season.

I think Townsend's been on loan for most of the past few seasons. He's probably had enough of playing for 2 different clubs while belonging to another every year.

Maybe we should bring him back and stick him on our bench for a bit.

As I said in another thread, if he can't put a good foot forward on loan then he hasn't earnt the right to sit on our bench. Besides, sitting on our bench won't help his career progression anyway

I'm sorry but what kind of wanker cancels his own loan spell?

That's hugely, immensely and laughably unproffesional. Does he think that Harry will even consider him now because of this? He's gone to brum now where he will get even less games due to the competition of Redmond and Murphy. I see no reason as to why he thought this was even a good idea?

I'm a bit embarrassed of him if I'm honest with you, he couldn't hack it so he quit, that says a lot about his character......

Except he has done well, he did well at Ipswich before Keane decided not to play him and livermore and was brilliant at millwall and leeds before being dropped, his temperament on the pitch is a issue apparently as well

He cant cancel his loan spell it has to be 2 of the following 3; player, parent club and the loaning club

He was also dropped despite being leeds best player, which happens alot with loanees

I'm just puzzled by the whole situation. Why Warnock would terminate his loan spell is baffling. But if this wasn't Andros cancelling it, then I take back what I said. With the loss of Jonny Howson surely Leeds could do with all the players with vision they could get?!

I think we and andros decided to call it quits because of the lack of playing time he got, on saturday it was his first start in a while despite the only one in the team who looked like they would do something

Well if that's the case then fuck Warnock. He deserves nothing. Hopefully he gets more games for Brum but I highly doubt that considering the higher level of competition. Although Chris has probably over-seen more than enough of him at Spurs during his time here to think he's good enough for them.

Its abit strange because the caretaker manager was the one not playing him and warnock played him but maybe there was a bust up with the caretaker

This happened with Mpoku he was amazing for the O's last season and then Slade convinced himself he was a impact player and then stopped playing him, which led us to release him but now he is playing for standard liege :bang:

It's now being reported (as expected) that Andros is joining Birmingham on loan for rest of season.

A chance to be playing for a proper coach/manager...
