Looks like he is making an impact. Hopefully this will lead to a Championship or Prem loan next season.

would be nice if he gets a shot in their first team this season, but very doubtful

Im guessing that may happen as it has said the deal is potentially a two year deal and they do extend otherwise, we would send him elsewhere as Espanyol B wont be promoted this season from the looks of it

Not at Espanyol II, but played today in a NT U18 friendly and scored from a free-kick. It was against a lower league side, but nonetheless.

Sometimes i think we forget how young some of our players are - a player still eligible for u18's being loaned out is not that common.

Dimpomp - Is there much mention of Gomelt in the Croatian press ?

Not much. There was a quick mention when he was loaned out. The Croatian media don't do a great job (an understatement) of following young prospects. They sensationalize almost every time a player is linked with a move to a "big club", but they do very little in terms of reporting.

He wasn't in some of the previous NT selections, but part of that could have been due to his commitments at Spurs and/or his injuries. From what I have gathered, he's an interesting prospect who has potential, but not one of the "can't miss" players from the generation just below. Time will tell though.

Gomelt is rumoured to have been sent on loan to Royal Antwerp (managed by Jimmy Floyd Hasslebank who also signed John Bostock a couple of weeks ago).

Nice one Spursidol (y). Hopefully it'll be a good move for the lad & he'll get plenty of time on the pitch. I've never seen anything of the boy, but have read one or two positive things about him. Bright future?

Gomelt is a bit hit and miss. One day he will look like a world beater the next a complete lost cause. (He epitomised this in the inter milan thrashing a few years back)

whilst he is talented and it is no disgrace given the talent at our disposal he is not one of the stand out players.

Think he's a good prospect, he's still only 18 (dob Jan 1995) so still plenty of time to develop. He's not played that much at Spurs - runours of work permit issues persist - so difficult to evaluate, alhough most youth watchers think he's technically quite good, but certainly not lived up to his amazing debut (3 goals in opening 28 (?) mins before being sent off for silly foul). He's on loan at an early age and hope he gets game time to develop.

Hasn't featured at Antwerp so far, however Bostock was voted MOM on 2-7 win and received 2nd most votes on season start.

Not good news so early on the season, no time to stake a claim in the squad

Tomislav Gomelt, who is on loan at Royal Antwerp, is out for 4 weeks after injuring his abductor muscle whilst with Croatia U19s.

1-5 away win tonight, Gomelt in at 66 minutes with Antwerp leading 0-3 at that point. Bostock started. Hopefully Gomelt will get starts too at some point, but at least he is getting minutes.

Gomelt has hardly played this season with Antwerp 2 sub appearances and 1 start.

Wonder if we will bring him back next year and see if he kicks on.
