Lol wasn't a freekick. I thought technically Wigan should have had a penalty for a high foot though. Dont know why players get away with it in the box, more lethal there if anything with all the confusion

walcott is such a fucking effective counter outlet. wish lennon can be more direct like him. if it was walcott/bale on both flanks it would be an absolute nightmare for defenders

The thing is Lennon is just as quick and could do what Walcott does. Ie get the ball and hare down the wing.. he doesnt really rely on anything other than pace.

That was how Lennon was in the first season he came through

Level at the break? I'll take it considering how woeful it seemed Wigan played the first 15 minutes. Time to do some work before coming back to hit F5 a few hundred more times this afternoon.

Wigan still in the game at half time I'm nervous but happy, worst case scenario was looking likely after 15 mins. Thought it was gonna be 3-0 at half time

BTW - if wigan do go down in the end, then Maloney would be a nifty, little RW to push,... dare I say "take" Lennon's position? A thrifty buy metinks...

There's a lot of passion there and an obvious free kick abiity,... just sayin' (y)

The boo's were aimed at the ref, not the team but still nice to hear. Only problem is Wigan have to win so if it's still 1-1 they'll be so open towards the end of the second half, they might get picked apart.

Same L'Arse who also need the win.

Wenger's coat:

The mystery of Wenger’s coat is only deepened by the revelation that it is no longer available for the public to buy. Arsenal withdrew it from the club shop around two years ago, and now stocks merely a shortened version, ambitiously priced at £110.

So why was it pulled? Did Wenger become cognisant of its awful predictive capacity? Was he attempting to protect us from it? Or did he alone want to harness its power? According to a spokesman for the club's retail arm:

“There wasn’t much call for it.” Curiouser and curiouser...

Holy mother of Wigan.

Checked the score on my way home just after Goons scored and saw a few tweets saying Wigan were useless/drunk now get in to see 1-1 at HT.

Still won't happen though will it :(

TBH Wigan needing to win this game is the worst thing that could happen to us. Wigan going gung ho later on versus Theo and Oxlade Chamberlain on the break means this game has 4-1 arsenal written all over it.
