A delighted Toon employee told Sunday People Sport: “We were absolutely gobsmacked when we were called into a meeting with Mr Ashley and absolutely stunned when we heard his plan.
“It would be like winning the lottery for most of us.
“And we have every confidence the lads will see off Arsenal.”

Love it!

Nice, however, no one speaks like that in real life. No one at all.

What if Arsenal drop points but we have one of those home games where we suck arse and either lose or scrape a last minute draw? Would that be worse, in terms of national humiliation, than Lasagnegate?

Just can't mentally cope with that scenario - brain says 'no'.

Gonna go to bed to dream of a toon rout.

With so much being focused on us, the story that will be making the headlines, at 6pm on Sunday, is Chelsea drawing 1-1 with Everton and Arsenal beating newcastle 3-1 to pip chelsea to 3rd

I'd love it so much if we can win and Arsenal f**k up and lost. Love it Keegan style.

It'd go someway to getting me over the last day of 05/06 - I'd go as far as saying that I'd breeze into work tomorrow!!!

But seriously, surely it's our time.

I must admit, i feel for those who aren't going to the game. I'd hate to be worrying about the Arse game, constantly flicking over to see if Arsenal have inevitably scored yet.

I dont know why, but when you're surrounded by 36,000 yids, YOUR people, it really softens the blow of disappointment.

Anyway, i said a few weeks ago that we'll do it. I trust AVB.

Happy St. Arsehole's day!

In this analogy, my folks have killed the cat so many times I should have called Childline a long time ago.

Arteta out apparently.

This is key for me, he's been their most consistent performer and he's crucial component in their midfield.

Chances of them dropping points has just increased somewhat with this news.

So if Arteta is out their midfield 3 will be? Ramsey, Wilshere & Carzola?
