We could nick Cabaye and phase Parker out. Sandro will be out for a while longer and Dembele's fitness seems unpredictable at the moment.

I really thought yesterday would be close. No Suarez (usually means no goals!) and Newcastle at home on the back of the Sunderland defeat.. nope.. ha.

We should start a lets all laugh at Tottenham thread for completely and consistantly bottling it at the end of the season.

Agree with others about taking Cabaye and Ben Arfa though, both would improve us

Perfectly timed

Please go down so we can get Cabye and Ben arfa

Would love both of those players.

But imagine a midfield three of Sandro, Cabaye and Dembele.

That;s top, top notch. A perfect balance of strength, power and passing ability.

The thing which gets me about the press and Newcastle is that they go on about what terrific support they have (we of course are fickle) but they rapidly turn on their team.
Cue unrest at Newcastle and Skysports interviewing their fans with massive foreheads.

Kinnear to return as DoF, what a joke, and Pardew welcomes it.

That Talksport interview, priceless

Would love to have a place at that lunchoen today between them 2.

I think Joe has lost the plot, sounds like an absolute nutjob!

"I heard a silly comment of 'what can I attract?' I can open the door to any manager in the world, anyone, that's the difference."

"I got over 10,000 letters when I had my heart attack, I felt very proud of that and thought I did an excellent job"

I feel really sorry for Newcastle fans with the appointment of Kinnear, he clearly has been brought in to force Pardew into quitting and saving the club millions but it is an utter joke.

http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20130618/kinnear-appointed-as-director-of-football_2281670_3212997

Newcastle United have appointed Joe Kinnear as the Club's new Director of Football on a three-year deal.
Joe will report directly to the club's Board as the senior executive in charge of all football-related matters. Chief scout Graham Carr and manager Alan Pardew will report into Joe.

Managing Director Derek Llambias said: "The board are pleased to welcome Joe back to the club. Joe has many years of experience working within the game, and this experience will be of great benefit to the Club in achieving our objectives over the coming seasons."

Joe Kinnear first arrived at United in September 2008, initially as Interim Manager, following the departure of Kevin Keegan.

Joe had previously had a successful seven-year management spell with Wimbledon and as a player enjoyed a fine ten-year career with Tottenham, during which time he won 26 Republic of Ireland caps.

He was a great full back for Spurs but I went a little off him when he was goading Ginola about his hamstring one season, those were the times when we had a mini rivalry with Wimbledon for a season!

He's lost the plot a little bit that's for sure but Yohan Kebab will keep him out the headlines with some excellent displays

Derek Llambias resigns as managing director of Newcastle #SSN

The sensitive flower, guess he didn't like having Joe get his name wrong :(

It's boggling, isn't it? What possessed Ashley to do it?

And i've just seen a rumour that Graham Carr mgiht also resign. That would leave them right in the crapper...
Forgive my lack of knowledge on the matter but isn't Graham Carr supposed to be a very highly rated scout??

Every interview I've read from Kinnear over the last few days makes him sound mental. Something strange is definitely going on.
