Aaah well, never mind. Onto the next one.

I'm sure Levy will be paying particularly close attention to Chelsea's finances, wouldn't surprise me if he tries to get them booted out of Europe when FFP comes in.

I know I'm the delusional one by saying this but I don't think a little showing of remorse towards Spurs would go amiss.

Ridiculous statement.

How so? Chelsea don't need him. They have players in his position that are as good and already established. Can't see him being more than injury cover there though he may get a game or two if Jose wants to rest a player.

When Chelsea were interested in him before, it was AVB not Mourinho that tried to buy him. This transfer is just Chelsea getting nervous about the signings we are making and trying to stop the momentum.

I'll repeat what I said earlier. He'll believe he's good enough to start, in his mind, that's all that matters. He may well be proved to be right as well. I don't think for one minute he'll be sitting on the bench all season. I think he'll be used a lot.

Mourinho isn't in sole charge of Chelsea transfers. Michael Emenalo is sporting director, and they do their transfers by committee, and apparently by a database system where scouts load in attributes, and only players who get a certain overall score are considered. The late bid, may have been because the committee was convincing Mourinho that Willian was needed.

Apart from when Roman decides he wants a player, picks up the phone and gets him which is what seems to have been the case here. (Wouldn't be the first time). The manager has major input into what players they target though.

They have Hazard, Mata and Oscar in his positions. I think they will use him as a sub till some of the older players retire as a large chunk of the midfield is in their 30's. Don't see him breaking into the first team this season though unless one of the players mentioned gets injured. Takes time to gel as a team and get used to the PL style of play. They have class players that already have this.

My prediction is he will be a supersub.
