Thanks mate I'm there looking forward to it, proud of our team this year, even tho the haters are out talking shut, coys
I wondered what the random big cheer was. I thought at first that the Goons might have conceded until I realised they weren't playing."Let's pretend we scored a goal!!!"" Genius! 1882 I salute you. It would have been like a funeral in their tonight without you.

Hats off to the 1882 Movement. You are what supporting this club is all about. I'm with you in spirit even if I can't be in person. Keep up the great work.
Eh?
Credit where credit is due, 99% of what 1882 did was good (sorry, but chanting do you want an atmosphere at the West Stand wasn't necessary) and it would have been like a morgue there tonight without them, but this was still the quietest 1882 outing to date.
The atmosphere on The Shelf was pretty quiet as well, so I'm happy to be self critical as well.
But to say they are what supporting this club is all about is a little over the top in my book.
Don't forget there are 25,000 fans that go to every home game, not just the cheap ones, not to mention those that go away. I've said all along that 1882, or anyone who supports the team and generates a good atmosphere is all good in my book, but I don't think they are quite worthy of some of the hero worshipping that they seem to get.
Sorry, but that's just my opinion.
The chant to which you refer wasn't aimed at the West stand. Where did you get that idea? It was aimed at the stewards who were trying to get people to sit down.
As to the rest of your post, I can only wish that every Spurs fan was like those around me in the 1882 block. If they were, we'd have the best fans in the world.
You do realise the vast majority of people go to most games? It's only the "cheap" ones where it becomes an event, because it's easier to buy lots of seats together. It's not like we only do these occasional games and aren't Spurs fans for the rest of the season.Don't forget there are 25,000 fans that go to every home game, not just the cheap ones, not to mention those that go away. Ha ha. Yeah. Brilliant. And the Lewis Holtby chant when he was warming up. Holtby was cracking up.My favourite chant of the night, though I've heard it before, was:
His eyes are offside
His eyes are offsi-i-ide
Mesut Ozil
His eyes are offside
I'll 'hero-worship' those who get behind the team, and who do it all the time irrespective of the score or the team's performance. It's the difference between supporting and spectating. I don't mean to disrespect anybody who doesn't want to sing (although those who boo should get automatic life bans from the Lane) but I would rather that the ground was filled with those who support rather than those who simply watch.Don't forget there are 25,000 fans that go to every home game, not just the cheap ones, not to mention those that go away.
