I'm in block 36. Hope the 1882 movement will spill over into that section. I'm looking forward to my first 1882 experience.

Well done tonight 1882 lads. The atmosphere sounded great on TV. Nice to hear plenty of different songs at the lane. More of the same needed.

They deserve a mention on all of the forums and all of the weekends spurs podcasts.

Fanatstic.

AVB should give the fans a proper 'attaboy' as well.

I wondered what the random big cheer was. I thought at first that the Goons might have conceded until I realised they weren't playing.

Hats off to the 1882 Movement. You are what supporting this club is all about. I'm with you in spirit even if I can't be in person. Keep up the great work.

Some of the 1882 chants are some random. It's ecletic to the point of bonkers but it's so much fun. Really enjoyed the last two 1882 games. Easily worth the £20

Eh?

Credit where credit is due, 99% of what 1882 did was good (sorry, but chanting do you want an atmosphere at the West Stand wasn't necessary) and it would have been like a morgue there tonight without them, but this was still the quietest 1882 outing to date.

The atmosphere on The Shelf was pretty quiet as well, so I'm happy to be self critical as well.

But to say they are what supporting this club is all about is a little over the top in my book.

Don't forget there are 25,000 fans that go to every home game, not just the cheap ones, not to mention those that go away. I've said all along that 1882, or anyone who supports the team and generates a good atmosphere is all good in my book, but I don't think they are quite worthy of some of the hero worshipping that they seem to get.

Sorry, but that's just my opinion.

The chant to which you refer wasn't aimed at the West stand. Where did you get that idea? It was aimed at the stewards who were trying to get people to sit down.

As to the rest of your post, I can only wish that every Spurs fan was like those around me in the 1882 block. If they were, we'd have the best fans in the world.

Then I am quite happy to offer my apologies, from The Shelf it looked like the pointing was towards The West Stand when the chant was sung.

My favourite chant of the night, though I've heard it before, was:

His eyes are offside
His eyes are offsi-i-ide
Mesut Ozil
His eyes are offside

You do realise the vast majority of people go to most games? It's only the "cheap" ones where it becomes an event, because it's easier to buy lots of seats together. It's not like we only do these occasional games and aren't Spurs fans for the rest of the season.

Also, you talk as if it's some sort of closed group? Not at all. It's completely open to anyone who wants to buy tickets in the allocated block.

There was a chant about standing up immediately before or after that chant, it seemed pretty obvious it was directed at the stewards. I thought they were usually less relentless in their quest to kill the atmosphere for European games (PL lower stood for pretty much the whole of the Inter, Lyon and Basle games last season), but apparently not.

Nice to hear an outing for Can't Smile Without You, would be great to get that going regularly.

Ha ha. Yeah. Brilliant. And the Lewis Holtby chant when he was warming up. Holtby was cracking up.

I'll 'hero-worship' those who get behind the team, and who do it all the time irrespective of the score or the team's performance. It's the difference between supporting and spectating. I don't mean to disrespect anybody who doesn't want to sing (although those who boo should get automatic life bans from the Lane) but I would rather that the ground was filled with those who support rather than those who simply watch.

So, once again, well done all those in the 1882 Movement. I hope that everybody joins it and makes the Lane a cauldron of noise at every home game.

Was he? Excellent.

Loved the fact that we were singing his song, then sang, "Lewis, give us a song, Lewis, Lewis....". Followed by "Shhhhhhhhh....". Then, "Shall we sing a song for you?", which segued seamlessly back into the "doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo Lewis Holtby.." song!

I've lost my voice. It was absolutely brilliant.

Got home and immediately bought tickets to the Anzhi game in block 35.

To those who haven't been in with the 1882, seriously just try it for one game. It reminds you of all the things you loved about going to football before the notion of 'top four' paralysed us all with the fear of losing.
