BC you're paranoid - nothing to do with Sherwood or AVB that comment, just simply crediting Walker with good play.

Then I really don't get the point you are making. I'm not knocking the boy for finding a team mate but are actually calling that a "special" pass ?

No. I'm saying he turned a tricky defensive situation into an attacking one very well.

Walker actually plays it to Eriksen, and it is a good ball as Eriksen is breaking through the centre of the pitch - he then finds Soldado, carries on with his run and Soldado slides it through to him.

Point being Walker actually cuts out the ball very well in our box and then spots the advancing run of Eriksen. Very good play all round and an integral part of the build up play to the goal.

Ah, you've just re - watched it - nice!

I've got it on a permanent loop. It was a magical piece of football. I'm not sure but I think he indian charms Jacuzzi into to giving him the ball by surreptitiously playing his micro bassoon in a hypnotic "trust in me" tune.

On permanent loop eh? No chance - I'm sure your Sky plus is well loaded up with the tactical master classes of 180 minutes against Hull this season, followed up with Suarez and co demolishing us :)

You really have such an agenda against certain players BC.

Selective doesn't even come close.

Of course i was!

As for the pressing, any team can press like headless chickens, i don't want to see us do that, i want to see us thinking about it and doing it when its appropriate

We should pick our moments and times to press and then go for it all out, but thats not something i see as should be done constantly. If the pressing doesn't have a purpose or a good chance of regaining possession then i prefer to see us drop off into 2 banks with 1 of the front 2 dropping in slightly. This is important when you are playing against good teams and quality players, if they pass through us why we are blindly pressing we will find ourselves in a lot of difficult situations.

Charge charge pressing is both naive and stupid.

I'm really liking our tempo with the ball!

Very few people who talk about pressing seem to understand how and why it's successful.

In fact, I don't think I've ever seen anyone who advocates PRESS-ING!!!!!!!!! above all else, actually explain why it works for, say, Barcelona - and thus why it was never going to work properly for AVB. Funny that. It's almost as if it's another buzzword, denuded of all meaning, used by those with suspiciously ample spare time to ham-fistedly club at anything that doesn't make sense to them.

This will go down well with some....

The Spurs left-back Danny Rose said that Sherwood’s switch to a system that includes two strikers had made a major difference. “No disrespect to Andre, but playing one up front has been a bit frustrating and hard for Soldado at times,” Rose said. “It is just nice that he has got a bit of help up there with Adebayor.

“The first season under Harry Redknapp there were no questions about his [Adebayor’s] attitude. Last season, I wasn’t here so I don’t know what happened. When I came back pre-season, his attitude was fine.

“Obviously there was a bit of a disagreement between him and Andre but it is finished now. We are all grateful he is back in the team. He hasn’t got a point to prove, although he is playing as if he has. He looks fresh and he is causing teams a lot of trouble.”

It's actually comical! I reckon he just watches "walker, dawson and Lennon cam" on 3 monitors in the BC statistical command centre, a bit like the 'itv Andy townsend analysis truck' from a few years ago.!

Bless him.....
