Selling Holtby and/or Capoue would be a really stupid move that would instantly come apparent (if we do sell) the minute the euro cup restarts. Yes we have a fair few players in the middle of the park but we will need them when we start playing regular Thursdays and Sundays again. Please don't be a tool Tim.

A bit worrying the line about we are using the same (442) format as Blackburn. I hoped after last week (Swansea) that we were going to see some flexibility in dynamics of this approach, sounds like Sherwood is quite set on this.

Kiss goodbye to Lamela if that's the case. Unless he gets used as a striker instead of Soldado. Chuck away 26m or 30m. Nice choice.

We should not be selling anyone at this time, we are still in with a shout of the top four and the EL and we may need all our players before the season ends.

Come the summer is the time to reflect and replace players not now.

What if one of them wants to leave because he isn't playing and isn't expecting to play much - and we receive an acceptable offer?

Sort of changes things a bit.

His faith in the boy Bentelab is going to bite him hard. The guys 17 years old. He will need a rest and need to step out of the big games for now. The Arsenal game proved that. Capoue staying could actually help the guy a lot and it will stop him getting burnt out.

Quite impressed by Tim in that press conference, shows a wealth of knowledge about the psychological side of the game which can only be gained through experience of playing at the top level, probably what AVB was lacking in due to the fact he was never a player.

Thought he was 19/20?

A. His name is Bentaleb
B. He's 20.
C. He was one of our best players against Arsenal in that game.

Where in that article does he say Capoue and Holtby can leave? these look like rehashed comments from 3 weeks ago

When Sandro and Paulinho are out and you still cant get a game ahead of a young kid....then i think your way down the pecking order and may be one of the players a Tims refering to don't you think?

Not for me, we should keep all our players until the summer.

In no way would I describe Holtby as a leader. Tries hard on the pitch no doubt. But not a leader. Seems pretty immature actually to me tbh
Wow! Say anything even mildy anti Holtby and the neg reps start flying, huh?! LOL!

At no point does he say they or anyone else can leave... he just everyone has their price... which we know already with Danny about.

He shouldn´t be allowed to sell anyone at the club on his kind of short contract, he might be gone by the summer.
