You're blaming Levy for that? We have 4 strikers at the club, when JD leaves, we will have 3.

Has it not occurred to you that any Berbatov deal would not be concluded until Fulham had found a striker themselves? Oh wait, they just did, on deadline day. And what's this? Berbatov's now leaving too? Funny how the two work TOGETHER.

You cannot blame Levy for Falcao getting injured and Monaco jumping in late once Berbatov became available. Fucking straws, mate. People will do anything to have a go at the board. It's embarrassing.
Its not just Levy's fault, no. It's also Tim Sherwood's fault for not identifying the fact that when Defoe leaves, we are down to TWO SENIOR STRIKERS and one striker that has never scored a league goal.

Also, Levy did NOT have to sanction Defoe's transfer. He could have stayed here because he still had 18 months left on his contract. But Levy sold him purely on a financial POV, regardless of the fact that it makes us weaker.

We play a system that includes two strikers, when Defoe leaves, we will only have Kane as back up on the bench, there are 6 1/2 hrs left in this TW and that seems to be what were going to be stuck with for a quarter of the season. What happens when Adebayor/Soldado gets injured?

And to answer this:

Has it not occurred to you that Dimitar Berbatov is not the only striker out there? I don't care that we missed out on Berbatov. I care that we are being left dangerously short up front.

And also, Berbatov was having his medical in Monaco whilst West Ham and Fulham were fighting for Mitroglou, so dont give me that domino effect bollocks.

Some rumors earlier that Sherwood actually does view Lamela as a good talent and that he views him as a striker. So, with that in mind, Solado, Adebayor, Lamela, Kane and also Eriksen/Chadli who can play in a support striker role isn't really all that bad.

I'm pretty intrigued by Lamela playing up top with a partner. I think it could really play to his strengths.

sold a striker, not replaced him.
not signed the left back we need. like he didnt in the summer, where we signed way to many central players

and thats without considering letting Chadli go.

If we end up in a situation where Verts has to play leftback due to another injury to rose, I think you can kiss goodbye to Verts in the summer.

still not signing a capable LB is a mistake and truly need a real striker to replace defoe.... they seem like mistakes from where I sit, but I support the chairman. who the hell knows what the "organization" are telling him regarding what they have, what they want, and what they need... it's all swirling about :nailbiting::coffee::confused:

Not sure I want Berba. I feel we have to many laid back players already, hence no urgency in our play.

Verts, Ade, Capoue, Paulinho.

absolute no chance.. he is a number 10 , a mata type but nothing else. its laughable hearing otherwise..especially about players like him , a foreigner in a big physcial league... lamela will get beaten up and eaten alive played up front. its totally pointless.

Yeah, that'd be true if he was playing as a lone striker. If he's playing in a support striker role, dropping deep, picking up the ball in space with another forward pushing up the pitch to afford him that space it could be very successful. It's very much like how Suarez plays in a free role. Suarez is a lot like a #10 when Sturridge is on the pitch in that he has the freedom to do just about what he wants.

If you put Lamela on the pitch with an out-and-out striker like Soldado it can be effective. Ade and Lamela might be too redundant given they both would likely be drifting around, dropping deep and trying to occupy similar spaces/voids.

Where did you here this? last bit i caught was Tim saying behind the striker is where he thinks he should play. Whats changed? He's been out injured so can hardly have seen any more of him.

It was reported by a journalist and if I can find the Tweet I will post it.

He said he see's Lamela "playing off a Striker", so I'd assume he means as a no10.

Yeah, I saw that previously, but it was something new reported today which is why I brought it up. Also, it could be very reminiscent to the Ade role which is very much like a #10 how he drops deep and drifts without constantly pushing up the pitch when he was partnered with Soldado.

Stop with your logic, we want our 33 year old striker!

I think TS regards Lamela and even Chad, Siggi and Erikson as potential partners to the other striker so I guess he thinks we don't need verbs or any other striker. The LB situation though is baffling.

I really think Di Marzio should have some sort of ITK-esque status. He doesn't go batshit crazy over stuff, he tells it like it is and I really think his information is legit.

Yeah I agree. I can't honestly think of him being wrong about anything involving us?

Even through all the Capoue stuff. He always stated what was going on but was always measured - not really stating it would go one way or another. He basically just kept saying that we were sticking to our valuation and how it's ended up it looks like that was pretty accurate.

Well I think he should be allowed to be posted in the ITK thread (tweets etc). The rules do state "reputable sources" don't they? As you correctly said, he's more than prove himself as "reputable source".
