The reality is we need another LB but if you asked me if I would prefer him over Naughton , Fryers or an unwilling Vertonghen at LB when Rose is either injured or out of form I would have to say yes.

One match, or even two thirds of a season on loan in the championship doesn't make him 'useless'.

To be honest, I think when on form, he is a much better left back than Rose will ever be.

I think his better days are behind him, however he is better then Rose who is a liabilty.

On loan at QPR and he can't even play well. He got torn to pieces by McCleary against Reading at the weekend. Positioning is all wrong, doesn't know when to engage or when to back off. Gets caught too far forward and makes no concerted effort to get back. And don't even get me started on his attitude and mentality.

I loved him under Redknapp, when he was at his peak. He played (very) well for us in 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12. But now he is soooo bad. An average Championship left-back at best - as he is proving this season.
I don't understand why people want him back at the club, let alone rate him higher than Rose. To cap it all off, he was disrespectful towards AVB on so many occasions and he felt the need to post a picture laughing at Spurs' defeat to Liverpool.

I never want to see him in a Spurs shirt again. Rant over.

Well that part is bullshit at least. It was clarified at the time that that was totally taken out of context, the photo was even taken before the game, and many other photos of him and Adebayor both using the exact same finger signals previously in photos were produced.

Why are people surprised? He has always maintained that football is a job rather than a passion.

Playing at the San siro, the bernabau and other big European grounds, not to mention the premier league is something that although he doesn't love the sport, he can be excited and pumped up by.

Try getting motivated for a trip to Yeovil on a freezing wet day. He never gave two shits and still won't. I'd bet he'd happily sit on the bench in a funny hat and big trainers if he still got his wage.

Do not let facts get in the way of a good rant.:)

No, he ONCE maintained that, many many years ago and if you look at the context and what he actually said it really is quite refreshingly honest what he said.

Agree with all the above, but I thought we all ascertained that this wasn't what happened?

I thought that Adebayor apologised but Assou-Ekotto didn't?

I know the picture was taken pre-match but Assou-Ekotto still shouldn't have put it up.

apologise for what?

If you know the pic was taken prematch, then you know that the whole thing about them mocking the scoreline is BS. So apologise for what exactly?

Edit: According to the OS, BAE is still wearing a 32 shirt. So yes, still ours. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets sold for a few mills to Harry at QPR.

I don't think Qpr would buy him he was shocking under Avb really bad under HR at QPR I think he had a bad World Cup did he not get sent home or sent off.

Be hard to sell now. Just end up a drain on the clubs resources like Bentley until he's a free agent
