Do you guys have the spurs news feed in to your Facebook pages?

Everytime they post a photo, a bunch of Algerians start fawning over Bentaleb.

They all think we're lucky to have him!

He's not even in the picture half the time ffs.

Thanks for that Tim.

It could be worse, we could still have an Egyptian in the team

You think that's bad? There is a gooner on Twitter who immediately posts questions like "where's Bale", "where's Modric" and "where's VdV" after @SpursOfficial post a team sheet

bit foolhardy, considering there's a much longer list of players who have left the Woolwich and won trophies since they last lifted one.

It's funny we haven't attracted the hardcore Belgians yet...

They're definitely passionate about their football, which is great to see. There's a youtube channel which shows highlights of every single game Bentaleb has played this season and it's got a huge following from Algerians.

What is embarrassing is seeing some of the stuff Spurs fans write about their own players on twitter and on facebook.

The thing is, Belgium is a far more advanced football nation and as such, they've had top players over the years play for bigger clubs than us.
Bentaleb is one of the first Algerians to play in the PL as far as I'm aware.

The same goes for the Romanians as to why they're not as bad about Vlad as the Algerians are over Bentaleb.
I find a lot of the pro Muslim comments they make about him uncomfortable.
Football is the one and only religion that should be mentioned.

The only other one I can think of is Guedioura at Crystal Palace

You'd almost forgive the cringey fawning for a decent player.[/quote]

Bentaleb is not even decent? Do me a favour the guy is 19 and has been one of the better players this season

I bet they are the same people who moan about the youth players not given a chance as well

Belgium have a stronger national team than most countries in the world at the moment (including England, arguably) so I don't think you'd get many fawning over individual clubs just 'cos they've got a couple of their national team playing there.

Usually happens with nations who get excited just to see one of their own playing at a top club.

i'm guessing these are your comments from the facebook page then :pompous:

He's average. And by choosing average over above average we're going no where. And the fawning on here makes me sick.

A league 2 team wouldn't be happy about having Bentaleb in the team. Especially not with players like sandro, dembele and paulinho.

Rubbish. Sell

/:pompous:

to be honest, the only embarrassing comments i see on that page are those. god forbid we have fans showing support for one of our players, who fucking cares if it's swamped with algerians showing their love for bentaleb, it's certainly a whole lot better than stupid negative comments like these.
