'I don't think he's good enough to be our manager at the minute, when he shows me he's up to the level of any other coach in the world he might be back at the club (but probably not)

'I like Tim as a Bradley Walsh impersonator but he has to work hard to be a coach/manager anywhere near good enough for Spurs'

Thought some of you might be interested in what Sandro actually said. Accuracy and context are everything.

Fixed for you...

We've won a game and the 'kick out the manager' thread is at the top. Only at Spurs
We`ve won a meaningless game. A dead rubber. Every big game, important game we`ve played under sherwood we`ve fucking lost. Sometimes embarrisingly so. I dont want meaningless results like todays to help justify Levys decision to sell players like Vertonghen and Walker, while at the same time keeping Sherwood on as manager.

I am sure Tim did not say anything in the interview that he had not said to Sandro face to face.

I can believe that...........I really can lol

Sandro had gone public that he was not being picked despite being fit, the inference being that the manager did not rate him; Tim just confirmed that that was the case.

  1. Sandro Raniere ‏@sandroraniere 1h
Good morning Guys, just to let you know that i'm not injured ! Hope that we can win the game today.

Now where on there does Sandro even mentioned that he wasn't being picked? This tweet looks like it was posted long before the game and I would assume Sandro already knew he wasn't picked. (I don't use twitter so maybe you've seen other tweets that I've not) If as you say and (you're sure about it too) that TS had this conversation with Sandro face to face then that makes Sandro's tweet even more supportive to not just the team but the fans. He's letting the fans know he's not injured and wishing the team well. If he was looking to call TS out as some type of lier then don't you think he could have tweeted something more direct?
Most teams in europe would snap Sandro up in a heartbeat and I'm sure he knows that and his agent wouldn't be doing his job if he didn't let Sandro know that. He could have come out (as TS did) and said TS was not a good enough manager and is clueless when it comes to managing Spurs. That would almost guarantee his transfer especially seeing that there's not much time before the season ends.

A) He's not staying B) Levy doesn't trawl fan forums looking for advice on whether he should hire or fire managers oh and C) it might have been a meaningless game but sure as sh*t that wouldn't have stopped Sherwood from being slagged off if we'd lost. I call that a 'no win' situation.

There's only one person to blame for that and that's the manager.

If he doesn't flap his gums then he can point to another win.

But instead he gives everyone something else to focus on with his dimwittery.

We might have won, but that result papers over massive cracks, most of which are down to Sherwood's mismanagement.

If not for Lloris pulling off 3 top class saves we could quite easily have lost 4-3 today.

I do not think you quite understand how being weasel works.

Sandro knew perfectly well that by tweeting that he was fit when he had not been selected that this would stir up a shit storm that Tim would have to deal with. That was why he did it - to enlist the support of the fans against the manager.

from memory Sherwood has had a pop at Paulinho, Soldado, Capoue, Holtby, Lamela, Sandro, Dembele, Vertonghen, Chadli and more than likely Townsend if you believe his father. Not to mention past 'heroes' Hoddle, Lineker...

Equally Sherwood has not had a go at Adebayor, Naughton, Rose, Bentaleb, Fryers and these players have had various amounts of good and bad performances just as much as the previous list. It smacks of favouritism and an agenda.

To be fair to the players, and yes some have under performed despite their large salaries, it has taken some pretty sustained criticism from the manager for any player to really come out and bite back.

Some senior players may only be fighting back now in the comfort that Sherwood is going. Tim was spouting off in public a few months ago when, it was assumed, with the right results Sherwood may keep the job. If This assumption is wrong, and Sherwood knew he had little chance of keeping the job, then he has no right alienating the squad in the manner he has.

Can you really say anyone has been more of a weasel than Sherwood?

He probably doesn't care what he says anymore. He knows he's leaving, we know he's leaving so at this point, if we finish off the season with a few wins, that's all that bothers me.
