Before anyone goes out and says lets blame Levy, because lbh everyone does... How do we know Sherwood hasn't been told? Just cause TS himself is saying? Maybe trying to save face or make himself look good at expense of club and put blame down to club?

Wasn't the whole story before the Sunderland game that TS had been told and that led to every news outlet in the UK (most notably Sky Sports) coming forward and saying that he had been told.

That was when Tim made the "Talk to my bosses if you want to know my future" comment.

Because I do not think someone who has held a senior administrative and coaching role at the club is equivalent to the teaboy, or that that role has not allowed demonstrate qualities that would enable senior management to judge whether he has qualities that would make him suitable for the role of head coach?

Swansea have just appointed one of their players as manager; Kenny Dalglish one the treble in his first season as player-manager (and has been progressively less effective in every job he has had since).

The idea that Sherwood’s appointment was absurd is, well, absurd.

It is those who go into a slathering rage at Sherwood no matter what he says or does who should be seeking psychiatric assistance, if only for anger management (though in some of the more extreme cases I would not rule out delusional psychosis).
Funny you should mention delusional!

That's not been my experience at the Lane this season - been loads more booing than I can remember previously. Even minor booing will impact on the team, of course it does and if you think Levy doesn;t canvass fan opinion before making decisions you;re mad. Also, the Harry situation is not my memory at all, one of us is misremembering, I'm not going to say it is you as I'm getting old but for me, there was a vocal minority who wouldn;t stop banaging on about him going until he did. Bentaleb and Kane are 20 and 21 and would be lauded anywhere else. They are not "average" but hugely gifted youngsters who have huge potential but need support to realise it, support our fans do not always give them

"Harry Redknapp,,,we want you to staaaay"

"I love you all" says Harry after the final game of the season where he is roundly cheered.

NOT hounded out, although there were certainly a few who didn't like him, to say he was hounded out is gross hyperbole.

Also wind it in, Kane and Bentaleb are certainly NOT hugely gifted youngsters, Christian Eriksen is a hugely gifted youngster, Gareth Bale was a hugely gifted youngster, they are about as good as Jamie O'Hara or Livermore was and would do well to make it playing in the Premiership. They are young and stand a good chance of being average premiership players, nothing more.

Sorry mate, this is garbage.

Swansea will struggle next year... I don't think their appointment of an ex-player is a great example...

Kenny Dalgleish was appointed manager of an all conquering footballing institution at the peak of it's powers, it's not even a comparison.

Sherwood's appointment was absurd and I said so at the time, he has never coached a team in his life.

After his first press conference a lot of us found him to be quite refreshing in his "honesty" but a slap in the face can be refreshing as well. It feels like he's been slapping us in the face every week recently and it's become painfull so I can't wait to see him gone and that's the first time I've said that about a manager that I can think of. I was willing to give him a chance but we just look a shambles at the back, even when we win and there have been no signs that Tim is even aware that there's a problem.

The bolded part is exactly what I was saying - our youngsters need to play twice as well as anyone else to get a cheer. I like to talk up our youngsters and give them the support they need, other fans seem to write them off and talk them down. Each to their own but I know which option I reckon will lead to them having proper careers with the club

We'll have to agree to disagree on the Harry stuff

Before anyone goes out and says lets blame Levy, because lbh everyone does... How do we know Sherwood hasn't been told? Just cause TS himself is saying? Maybe trying to save face or make himself look good at expense of club and put blame down to club?
All the club has to do is put out a statement disputing that.

I mean, it's not like he's ever had a bad word to say about the club or its management before ...

POT. KETTLE. BLACK.

People obviously don't remember how he left the club and what he said to the media about Spurs and about the management. This is why I have a fucking problem with the man - because I literally don't know what to believe when he speaks.

I will be overjoyed when Tim is sacked and delighted when he is finally out of the club completely. People like Tim are what is wrong with the club - the thought of him having any kind of influence behind the scenes before he was manager gives me the shivers. He is utterly self-serving and I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him.

"The only way they will bring success back to Tottenham is through a change of manager.

"The dressing room is not together and there is no team spirit. Nobody is busting a gut for the manager". - Tim Sherwood

How times change hey Tim?!!

Trust me, I have many issues with Levy.

If he just tweaked himself just a little, he could become one of the best directors in football. Problem is though, he wont and time and time again he has completely fail to support the managers.

If Levy supported FDB (If we get him) 100% and gave the footballing reigns to him and gave him real proper time ( I think at least 5 years to fully implement the cultural and footballing change required), whilst Levy managed the business side and provided the money, it is a clear clear winner... But Levy wont do this, he needs a serious slap...

You can't just give a manager carte blanche for 5 years. What if it turns out that he is an absolutely horrendous fit and we finish 15th in his first season? We should ride it out for another 4 years in the blind hope that he turns it around?

You should have faith in your manager, but not misplaced faith. Progress has to be seen being made.

I'd forgotten all that I remember the fall out but don't recall him saying about sacking Hoddle.

Inspite of what he's done I in most cases would have sympathised with him and criticized the club for unprofessionalism but I have a hunch he's saying this only to get media and public sympathy and thereby increasing his chances of getting a new job soon
