Can the disagree-ers at least say on what basis they disagree?

The count is now at 9 managers. If they weren't good enough for the job then the person employing them is not adequate

It definitely looks like Pochettino now. I have to say I would clearly prefer de Boer and his Dutch following/tradition to Pochettino. De Boer simply seems a greater authority and his achievements both as a player and a manager call for respect. Pochettino must be a good manager, but my belief in a new dawn for Spurs would be a lot bigger with FDB on board.

Pochettino is a better choice for me, as he's got something to prove and I believe will push the envelope that'll make him known as a top manager. He's Argentinian, with great EPL experience and that will hopefully help bring out the best in Our most expensive signing while inspiring some great attacking football. Hopefully also bring in Lallana or Shaw in the process!

both FDB and Poch are a punt. But thats the choice we have.

I probably edge towards Poch. Just like it to be sorted out now so we can start planning for next season

Good point(s). I hope you're right if he's our man. If that's the case I just hope we land him quickly so he can begin his work. I won't find it difficult to get behind Pochettino, but I do fear that he will have to prove himself quicker than FDB would. The new manager will need time.
As for Shaw and Lallana, I doubt they will come to the Lane.

Pochettino hasn't achieved any more than Adkins would have by now... mid table establishment.

I really don't like the way we keep flitting between whatever flavour of the month manager/fad happens to be around at the time.

I'll only say it one more time... If we sign Pochettino then we'll just go through the same thing we did this last two seasons. Not because he's no good, but simply because the patience isn't there.

what makes you thing FDB doesn't have something to prove.

I'm still swaying with FDB, he has experience in getting the best out of eriksen and could also prove to be the deciding factor to keeping hold of vertonghen. those two reasons alone are enough for me. thats forgetting the fact that he is a born winner and has won things at both levels of the game

Who ever we get, their minimum standard next season is 6th place, 69 points and hopefully a cup run.
Any less than that and they don't deserve patience. If a fucktard like Sherwood can get sixth then that's the minimum the new guy has to get.

I've just spent a couple of days talking football with my Dutch work colleagues, and they are unanimous in thinking that FdB is ambitious and looking to prove he can move on from 4 successful but comfortable years at Ajax. They really did make it sound like he's the candidate with most to offer us, if he can be tempted over.

No need to search. Just go for the best manager in the world (according to himself).

If this happens, I will feel mega disappointed. Pochettino made Saints a solid mid table side, but I'm not convinced he can do more.
I understand what you're saying, but HR had only ever managed relegation fodder or mid table at best, yet he was the most unlikely success we've had in a long time. Some managers just need a break. As others have said, it's a lottery. No guarantees.
Had AVB and Sherwood not happened, we would all most likely be more excited by Poch appointment (if it happens). There are similarities in that they are young, fairly inexperienced, but that does not mean that Poch (or even FdB) are going to end up like our previous 2 appointments.

Er, maybe they disagree with your statement that if it fails levy should stand aside. Maybe we should ask the people who agree with you, why they agree with you. :)

I would've thought someone rating a statement as disagree is fairly clear as to what they are rating.

Did they know much about Poch though? Who's to say that Poch isn't equally ambitious and looking to prove that he can move up from a mid-table PL club to a top 6 club.....
