Absolutely. FdB will go to Arse when Wenger's gone now, and we will be killing ourselves when he agonisingly proves he's not a one league wonder. Pochettino is a good manager, but I don't think he's special.

There's the optimism and support we're looking for!

It's inevitable that people will blindly pick sides and belittle other's choices, even if we got someone like mourinho there would be fans saying we should have chosen<insert name> instead! It's part and parcel really. Nevertheless, at the end of the day I would hope everyone backs the eventual manager that is chosen rather than still harbour resentment. I wouldn't be entirely happy if Poch got the job but I'd sure still be singing his name, giving all the support and willing him to change my opinion.

Try singling out someone else out next time

Wouldn't surprise me since Bergkamp is like God to them and FDB ticks all the right boxes.

He's sold players worth 100 million and bought 20 million, 80 million profit at Ajax. He used to losing his best players year after year and has done well with the younger lot. He's used to the pressure of winning at Ajax and managing mid week European games. He's remained competitive against teams like Madrid, City and Barca in Europe.

He'll be an ideal candidate. He's young so will give them stability, doesn't spend a lot but I feel with their debt almost cleared they will give him money if needed and is used to the pressure. He's done well with the younger lot too.

What's sad is all those qualities are exactly what we need but are being overlooked atm.

Would have thought all those profit in transfers would have appealed to Levy; but sadly on this occasion, Uncle Joe was calling the shot.

FdBs qualities will have been considered alongside the qualities of all the other candidates. And, for whatever reason, his qualities weren't considered to be the best fit for Tottenham. You can disagree with the decision. But you can't say that FdB's qualities have been overlooked.

I think he would have had a bigger impact on our players.
We'll never know that but finger's crossed that we don't end up wondering. I would have been fine with FDB but I'm just as happy about Pochettino although I'm not going to get too hyped up at this stage.
