just thought i'd gauge opinion. for me he wasn't my absolute first choice but i'm pleased nonetheless. seems a likeable guy and has done an impressive job at southampton. hopefully we stick with this one ...

he and Baldini seem like a good match -- the potential is there, so let's see the results next season...

Delighted....I think.....maybe lol

TBH I was on the fence most of the time between Poch, FDB, and Benitez. All had an almost equal measure of pros and cons in my mind, although Rafa's experience might have just edged it for me. But I'm delighted that we've got Poch and delighted also that we have dealt with it fairly quickly (whilst not rushing too much either) so he has plenty of time in the market and to get to know the club and players, with a full pre-season.

Overall delighted.

Was my first choice all a long. Convinced he'll deliver fluid and dynamic football, with intensity and tempo.

Delighted.

Benitez was my 1st choice but while I am not quite overwhelmed, we could have done a lot worse than Pochettino. Saying that, I am now quite excited for the new season.

Pleased. There wasn't really a massive stand out candidate that was available, if ancelotti was sacked then id be a bit annoyed if we went with poch instead so all in all I am happy with the appointment and gets my 100% support.

Coys.

I'm unsure. Then again, I'm a cynical fuck and would be unsure even if De Boer got appointed instead.

Hoping that his positive experience of the Premiership will hold him in good stead.

I can't remember his name but the chief exec that left Southampton earlier in the season must have been consulted in this, even if only to get his take on Pochottino to use as a reference and I suspect what he said may have opened our eyes to the possibilities.
Interesting that we've made it a five year deal, don't we usually do three or four years? That makes me think that we are looking at him as more than just a front of the house man, he is here to develop and complete a project, long term.
I voted delighted as I would have done if we'd taken Frank de Boer, I think both are altogether more stable characters than our last two incumbants.

I'll just quote this as the OP pretty much sums up how I feel.

Still has some things to work at but is tactically sound, plays good football, develops players and isn't afraid to give some of the youth players a chance. Ticks a lot of boxes for what I want from a manager.

I'm pleased, FDB was my first choice but I've warmed to him.

The saving grace for him is that he can't do any worse than last season, if he can get Spurs playing some good football again then he'll be onto the winner as he'll get backed by the board and the fans.

I wouldn't have complained had one of the other candidates (de Boer, Benitez) got the job but I'm delighted all the same.
