Brazil - Colombia is the one I'm looking forward to most of all, should be an absolute epic.
As long as Colombia play the opposition and not the occasion then they can break some Brazilian hearts with their swashbuckling style and x-factor in J-Rod.

my villa mate always slagged off Bradley when he had his loan spell there.

never really seen him play until tonight

now i understand what my mate meant

he was awful tonight. Shame as the yanks played well, as one of the more senior players in a top league i was expecting more from him.

Can we sign Julian Green, please?

Also no on Yedlin. Kid has gobs and gobs of potential, but we already have Walker. Dont want. yedlin having his development stunted.

Bradley is so, so, so, so, so, so, so bad.

I really believe Colombia have a great chance against Brazil - who for me are well dodgy at the back.

Have Colombia even conceded a goal yet?

But the Yanks will argue that it works in their other sports, so why not this one.
It doesnt though because in the other american sports they go to uni and they are drafted

In football in the US if a player at a young age shows promise they wont go to college and get drafted, they will start playing for an MLS club or NASL club. Plus they don't even have an tiered system where clubs get promoted and relegated so whats the point of the NASL club

He was good throughout qualifying and great vs mexico in april. But he was AWFUL this entire tournament. Dont like him anymore. Terrible player.

To be fair in the other sports they pretty much just play against themselves don't they?

Whatever we say about England, and i have little love for the national team to be honest, it is still blatantly obvious that England have more quality in the squad than the US/Costa Rica for example. We however do not match them for desire, effort, or even the ability to buy into a managers plan and work to make it work.

Is it simply having the right manager, would we have done better if Klinsmann was motivating them?
Is it ingrained that our players are too egotistical and pampered?

Just seeing that performance tonight really brings home the individual quality we have in comparison to a team like the US, yet their performances/effort and most importantly progress in the WC put England to shame...

Well of the four quarter finals, only the Dutch look like certs to go through. The other three are hard to call.

Shame the two poorest teams in the quarters get to play each other (Holland and CR). The rest of the games are stonkingly fucking mouthwatering clashes.

If brazil would just ditch Fred and jo and use their midfield quality and move it quicker they'd waltz to the final IMO

Oscar--fernandinho--paulhino

Hulk--neymar---Willian

Would clean up

Think it's going to be a France v Holland final, but with the exception of Costa Rica this is wide open.

I think Costa Rica deserve to be in the race, they have the pace to hurt Netherlands.

Spain got behind Netherlands more than a couple of times and Costa Rica are tough to break down
