They gave us that tehnology but as far as I know the Premier League said we couldn't use it during matches which kind of defeats the point. I'm not sure if they use it for training though, there was a news article about it a while back. No doubt Under Armour is good for our marketing in the States though.

Is used during training and for fitness tests.
Is slighty different Tech i believe.

Cheers for the info although the players probably just have it set it up so they can send tweets with their brain waves or something equally pointless.

Really??

I'm genuinely surprised. Sure, this years home and away previews are shocking, a proper spew-fest, but everything else they've produced has been quality IMO. The navy away kit in their first season was the best shirt we've had since the Le Coq days, aside from the navy adidas away shirt.

Thanks for responding to me rather than just hitting disagree like some half wits. I just think the quality has been awful and seems cheap, which is a surprise as their training gear is good.

To those of you who said "everybody has different opinions when it comes to kits- you can't please everyone"- that's not true. The vast majority of people- myself included- liked last year's home and third shirts. Not everyone liked everything about them, but overall the reaction was positive.

This season's effort is fucking reviled by 90% of Tottenham fans- and I'm being conservative. I've read through threads on this subject on five different Spurs forums and the consensus is solidly, unequivocally against the putrid fucking shitjob that is this year's kit.

So in fact sorry but there actually is uniformity to things like this; indeed, most fans find these designs repulsive.

Because they are.

Ugly is ugly.

This whole thing would be funny if it weren't actually true. Our shirts look as if they were designed by a seven-year-old child during a "design a football top"-project at school, with the lone requirement being to "use all available colors."

And the fact that these shirts are supposed to honor the greatest figure in our history?!? My God, seriously, what a joke. Instead of being some kind of understated homage to the legend that is Bill Nicholson- one incorporating, say, elements from our kit circa 1962 (with its bold, clear, classic feel)- a group of Americans concocted a shirt with so many things happening on it simultaneously that it ought be named the "retro schizo."

My guess is that the UA design team was shown a bunch of black-and-white photos of Spurs teams from the early '60s and told to study them carefully, and then come up with a look that says (in full Mugatu style): "Danny-Blanchflower-finds-time-machine-then-drops-acid-and-travels-around-Asia-promoting-Tottenham-Hotspur-Football-Club-while-accompanied-by-a-merry-band-of-talking-Skittles."

To which they definitely succeeded.

Didn't realise the vast majority and 90% was everybody.

It's not. But the spirit of my point is that despite some people begging to differ, there is a uniformity of opinion in some cases.

For example- name the worst home kit from the last decade...

(*cue Jeopardy music*)...

(*buzzer sounding*)

...You said "what is the one from 2009-2010?" (the Champions League year), right? The piss-streak one? Well rest assured you're not alone in that opinion-- most people cite that shirt as the ugliest in recent memory.

See my point?

I'm pretty sure if the club would've conducted a poll on this year's designs the response would've been unequivocal.

As well as those who liked it....they wouldn't be alone either.

Okay then don't say that comment is wrong.

Also just because most people on here don't like it and a lot of twitter twats don't like it doesn't necessarily means it's hated by most since there are more supporters off of this forum and twitter than on it.

Agreed, it's pretty simple really. Those that like it will buy it and those that don't won't. At the end of the day if something isn't profitable, that's the only way they change the business model.

56% of the 14%of the 300 the asked liked it, the other 96% just said wibble.

So if the overwhelming majority of posters on various Spurs fan-forums despise the kit, you would say that those people are not indicative of our fan base in general?

I'd say wait to see what sales are before making a true assessment. You can get a general idea I suppose from forums but think about how many fans don't go on forums or Twitter, my guess would be that it's the vast majority.

Not necessarily. How many members are on here? 5,000? What is that compared to our fan base in general?

Not sure how big Tottenham fan base is but if go by FB numbers of 5,000,000 than the members only count for 0.1% of our support which is nothing and so no I wouldn't take it as an indicator.

Take into account we are growing in USA and Asian markets where could be seen as more popular kit, then no can't say majority dislike it because people on here do.

Anyhow if we have a good season who really cares? People will buy it and we will have another 3 kits next season. I'm sure I'll have to shell out another shed load for my son who will want one

Jeez Louise stop being so fucking difficult- you're worse than my wife! Just say you like my posts, you see my point and give me some fucking green stuff! It's not that hard...

Anyway- out of curiosity: which home shirt did you pick as the ugliest of the last decade (this latest one not included)?

The navy is too dark, if we didn't have the yellow detail we'd look like fulham.
I was gonna say it's the worst kit since 1895, but I think it's slightly better than the "hello sailor" suit of 09/10

http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Tottenham_Hotspur/Tottenham_Hotspur.htm

Does anyone else still really like the old Hummel kits?

I thought West Ham's Adidas home kit was one of the best last year. Spurs white with blue stripes would have looked simple and classy...

i like the new kit, its different and interesting. i don't really like generic kits some other brands give us, they just pick a design from their current collection, switch the colours and add the logo. I remember seeing Puma and Adidas very similar to ours just a different color and without any logos being sold as "team jerseys" which are sold to football teams in bulk.
