The Carrick kit.

Does anyone else do this with kits, associate it with a player of the time? Just me then.

It also reminds me of Davids, but you're right, it's predominantly Carrick. The original piss yellow trim is the Crouch kit for me

I really liked the "Carrick kit". Had initial reservations about a design with coloured sleeves as it was a break from tradition but once I'd got used to that I loved it.

Still do.

Also the worst crime the new kit has committed is that it's pretty boring, the nicest thing about it is the inside trim with the BN 11 pattern. If they want to do a tribute to the club I'd prefer to see something a bit more imaginative, like making the relief pattern for the shirts the names of every player who's worn the shirt or something like that.

If anything my money is going to one of the training tops this year. Either the long sleeved one with the yellow 'cut' on the shoulders or any 3 of those t-shirts. I thought the training stuff from last season was average but UA's first seasons ones and this coming seasons are my favourite, hadn't even considered trainnig gear before then.

Not necessarily. How many members are on here? 5,000? What is that compared to our fan base in general?

Not sure how big Tottenham fan base is but if go by FB numbers of 5,000,000 than the members only count for 0.1% of our support which is nothing and so no I wouldn't take it as an indicator.

Most polls done here in the US have about 1,000 respondents to them, like Gallup Polls. For Presidential elections they are used very accurately to determine the voting landscape for the upcoming elections. That's 1,000 to 330 million, or way lower than .1% of the population, more like .000001%

So i would say without a doubt .1% of the general population would show a good generalization of the populace.

I don't mind the home kit. Certainly won't be buying it though. Seems a bit cartoony, which is fine considering our defence.

I love an all-yellow kit though. I know I shouldn't, but it's just Spurs for me.

'How to look like a Championship team'

by Under Armour, AIA and Tottenham Hotspur.
This is the kind of post that amuses me most. What constitutes a Championship kit ? A premier league kit ? Is it not the players in said kit ? Do these kits have magical material that make players worse because of the kit they're wearing ? Does it channel the bad feeling of fans into the player ? We do that enough at the Lane without a fucking kit contributing !

You either like it or you don't. It's not some spawn of satan that'll ruin the club or make us look 'Championship'. Using TwanYid's theory, because I like it then 90% of people will like it too.

Jeez Louise stop being so fucking difficult- you're worse than my wife! Just say you like my posts, you see my point and give me some fucking green stuff! It's not that hard...

Anyway- out of curiosity: which home shirt did you pick as the ugliest of the last decade (this latest one not included)?

That yellow training t-shirt would have been an excellent away kit.

Shame.

This, all day long. My thoughts exactly.

I've sort of made my mind up to buy the yellow training top and forget about any of the playing kits. No red AIA logo either - double bonus!

Only if it's considered a representative sample can you extrapolate the results and consider it to be statistically significant.

True, but i was merely pointed out a flawed argument of his that because the sample size was too small, it was null. Are Spurs forums a good sample of the Spurs fanbase? Maybe certain parts, maybe not certain parts. But I still would ascertain that the overall dislike of these new kits on various boards/forums/etc. by Spurs fans to be a good representation of the larger overall Spurs fanbase, maybe not to the same degree political polls are due to their sampling, but still a good representation.

So the Tottenham fans who post on SC and other forums aren't representative of Spurs fans in general- and what most of us see as absolutely fucking atrocious your average workaday Clive and Philippa Yiddokins will find "quite nice, actually." And I'm guessing they'll absolutely adore the "I just finished a box of Easter Peeps, and now I'm going to poop on a Spurs top and then rake the feces in a vertical stripe up through the center, taking care not to get any on the sponsor"-style shirt.

I'd suggest that the fact that we bother to sign up to a Spurs forum to discuss things in as much detail as we do makes us a small but passionate minority who, perhaps, are more vocal about things like kit design compared to the majority of fans who attend/watch matches and discuss results down the pub. Bearing that in mind i'd suggest that we're probably not an accurate representation of the majority of Spurs fans, who probably don't get so emotional about the design of our kit.
