Were we better in 2012? Attack wise YES, but our Defence was Horrid.

I don't think there's copyright on this photo. correct me if I'm wrong

our defence was walker-kaboul-king-ekotto. that's better than anything we have now.

Yes we may have improved our defense but in the long run we have shot ourselves in the foot here. We have very few consistent goal threats in our team and this will fail us, we have a net spend of what?? Practically zero, plus offloaded a few players which saves on the wage bill but ultimately next season we will see a further demise once lloris, jan, eriksen leave and we are stuck with a missfiring soldado and old and overpayed adebayoy aswell as lennon and townsend along with pauline who are worth pennys!!

Levy has made about £10m in this transfer window, profit.

He hasn't bought a single player Poch wanted. Not one. He is always more vocal about acquisitions he makes, if he wanted them.

When Poch gets sacked soon and we sell Lloris, Vertonghen or Eriksen the new manager will get himself another bunch of turds.

No net spend for 5 years now?

Even Hull City are being more ambitious.

I am sure there is all a very good reason for this, yachts aren't cheap and we have a stadium to build.
But what good is that if we don't have a team worth going to watch?

I can't believe people actually argue whether Harry Kane should be starting ahead of our "best" striker.

Lost the passion for the club, been a fan for over 20 years. Sandro getting flogged is probably about it for me now.

Were they much different when we bid £30m for Hazard or £22m for Mata or £25m for Moutinho? Either we didn't really want those players or the theory about being on the poverty line is bollocks.

As has been said by ITk today, we have an overdraft limit. Also we try not to pay in one installment but over the course of the contract. This may have been why we didn't get them.

levy needs to be straight with the fans rather than keeping up this pretense that we're trying to stay competitive. by spinning players every year we may as well not be doing anything, just be straight with the fans that we can't afford to spend because of the stadium.

The only time I ever see this thread bumped is when Spurs lose to a top 4 team, when a signing is missed out on or, mainly, on/after deadline day (besides last Summer's window peculiarly enough.....)

Agree with last bit, not particularly bothered by Sandro but lost all passion for it. Feel the club is used as a trading house, had soul tipped from it and no ambition or belief. Disappointed that fans aren't demanding more for what is, or was, a unique and special club.

Most clubs are being used like that now, they are seen as a business or a plaything rather than the traditional sense of a football club.

What do you think the fans should demand?

Apart from King who obv is a club legend, you are talking cobblers. We have 2 good left backs, both of which imo are better than Benni, Walker and Kaboul still at club and we have Vert's.

No point in just saying negative stuff without any basis in reality.

Tell the owners that getting thumped every few weeks is not good enough

We aren't being thumped every few weeks though, we have won our first two games and have 6 points from 3 games. The same amount as Man City have who have spent a lot more in transfers and wages then what we have.

We have seen a lot worse starts than that.

But it matters about the collective at the back and that four with King in it makes it better than anything we have now by default.

The disciples of the cult of Daniel are out in force tonight.
No mentioned of doing a Leeds yet.
You got admire the owners, no net spend for the last five years and the charge champions league prices.
We are going to have Kane and the new Alan Brazil up front when Ade goes to the Acn.

What stadium, all I see is a pile of mud.

I hate Levy and I hate ENIC.

They are boring the fuck out of me and they can take their turd club and shove it up their arse. I'll be back when they piss off.

Hull more ambitious than us

Was about to say about Hull.

Hernandez, Ramirez and about to sign Ben Arfa.

Two of those would greatly improve our first 11, let alone squad.

well yes, it's difficult to see us as a football club anymore. more of a player trading exchange.

I don't see why having a net spend is such a big issue. Doesn't mean you are going to get the best players automatically.
