How this guy has fallen. Wasn't he the most improved player at the club a couple seasons ago?

It's got to be do with his stance on the quenelle business with Anelka.

I've always been a fan but the fact no team seem to want him makes me wonder

Wasn't that after he was loaned to QPR? Which suggests he had already fallen out with the club.
Also why didn't anyone come in for a loan for him? Even if they offered only part of his salary we'd be better off.

I agree with why he has gone out of favour, I thought there were clear signs he was on the decline two seasons ago (which wasn't a popular view) and he hasn't shown anything since to show he can get back to the level he was at... However he has been a good servant to the club and despite the huge paypacket he will receive each week, I don't like these situations where the player is left in limbo. Its not good for the club financially, its not good for the player who's career has ground to a halt. I'd grant him a free transfer, are there any transfer windows still open?

If you don't follow instructions, don't turn up to training, cause fights and generally act as a cancer at a club what does he expect. Not even Harry wanted him back

I never rated him as a LB but the club signed him and they should at least show him some respect and honour any remaining financial obligations and terminate his contract so that he could look for another club. Alternately let him train with the squad and give him a chance, he's no worse than Rose or Naughton
Maybe there's some things that occurred behind the scenes but surely if they were that bad he could have been dismissed

I'm sure he's happy enough. He's admitted that he only sees football as a job and that he's not that fussed. Maybe hiss attitude is the reason he's no longer wanted?

Footballer is a job. I think his attitude trumps the pretense the others dish out regularly.

If Benny only sees playing for Spurs as 'a job' he must be supremely happy that he's getting paid in full without ever having to turn up for work. I could do with some of that.
