Ade had 2 good chances when just 7 yards out and instead of hitting it with his left he pulled it back to try and get it on his right. 7 ydz ffs and ended up on his arse both occasions. Very frustrating. Put in a shift though so have to disagree there.
Ref was poor with cards. Bloody Larson just ran aroung fouling people for 10 min and was pulled up about 4 times in as many min. Nothing.
Still we defended piss poor again and just dont shoot enough when in or around the box imo.
Any high ball coming in our area and we look like school kids.
Ho hum :(

Totally agree, Ade twice in a matter of minutes could have swung his left foot at the ball but chose to bribg it back to his right and fall over !

Let's get behind Ade eh? The guy is working hard for the team and is obviously not yet match-fit.

Adebayor was piss poor today, he looked lazy and lethargic, I think Sherwoods comments about Spurs needing another striker are going to haunt us as the season progresses.
In fairness, Ade returned on thursday from playing in the ANC, so of course he was a bit below par. He did have a couple of efforts, and involved in both goals. Poch. should have started with Harry K. and then ade as sub. Anyway where was Rose at the back post for their 2nd goal? as he was there for their 1st goal.. Lloris had no help defending either posts.

IMO..the ref. was poor, seems like these new match officials need to get up to speed for PL games..big difference from Championship League..there are too many bad decisions in a lot of games so far.

Agree, but Sherwood's observation is hardly Einstein like! It's been obvious a long while now. In any case, wasn't it Sherwood who came back from Holland to tell the club Suarez was no good?!!

Maybe, but it's not ref who is missing chances in front of goal, is it!

Fair point. What worries me with the defence is that I can't remember when we last had our best, settled back four, whatever that is!

Walker is injured, our better middle pairing (i.m.o.) of Fazio/Vertonghen I guess Pochetto thought he could rest, and as for Rose, again I guess Pochetto thought would play better in front of his old club?

I think he told Harry, (remember Harry's saying about this) that Suarez was not much difference to VDV as second / support striker so no need to buy him...

Having doubts about Vertoghen's attitude, Faz is an unknown quantity at the moment and who knows when Walker is gonna fit again! As for Danny boy, I like him, but there is plenty of room for improvement.

Agree that is a major problem.
Whatever the injuries you should always keep it as settled as possible which Poch has done imo.
On a side note, I've noticed a few replies aren't
highlighting the quoted post.
I'm using Samsung tab/phone and find when I
start writing, on about the third word in, the cursor jumps to quoted post taking word with it and deleting some characters as well so close bracket is deleted which stops it being highlighted.
Also at end of a line if a word is complete and needs a space for next word it wont jump down to line below. I have to start new paragraph and change from caps.
Is anyone having same prob as me?
Proper getting on my tits.
Edit. See replied post above for example lol.

Have to agree, seemed a little strange to me also, with a few Yellows there may have been a chance to put their players under more pressure. (BTW Hello Longtimespur, see you have moved over from VS)
Yes I have....lol. At my time of life there's too much negativity on there for me and of course there's Pele. Who were you on there?

If we're going to play a high pressing game then maybe Poch does need to be more proactive with the subs to keep things fresh. I thought that Lennon could have been introduced earlier for his pace on the counter attack, but who knows if that would have changed anything.

Anyway both Arsenal and Pool failed to win at home so not the worst point in the world, just a bit frustrating as it should have been 3.
Only downside for me is that those 3 points and win against WBA then no matter the result we'd still be above the goons after we play them.

One poster on here yesterday said, when the team had been announced, that Verts was subbed in the international because of an injury so maybe Mr Poch was just being careful. I don't understand why Fazio wasn't started instead of Kaboul, who IMHO has been below his best recently.

Hey not all doom and gloom, after 4 games, we are 6th equal on points to 4th and above arsenal, liverpool, man utd and everton in the table- and starting to play some very attractive football, showing an improvement on last season

who wouldn't have taken being it that position after 4 games at the start of the season???

We all know we are going to struggle upfront, hopefully Soldado can get a run when he gets back from injury. It's all about staying within touching distance until Jan where hopefully we will back Poch with Schneilderlin and a Striker.
