There were a few errors from him but I'd say Rose was the best outfield player for us. Only for the fact that he didn't fuck around with the ball like the rest of them. He got it, actually ran forward with the ball and showed some intent.

Yeah, only threat we had all game was Rose.

Rose and Lloris had good games, non of the rest
Lennon at least created some movement in the team when he came on
Chiriches was baaaad, Dembele sloppy, Adebayor played as a cone

Fullbacks weren't bad. Everyone else...facepalm. Adebayor non-existent and Eriksen couldn't deliver a set piece to save his life today.

Paulinho is a worse signing than Bentley. There I said it. He couldn't even pass the ball one time. His movement off the ball is also terrible.

We need to sort out our back four, Kaboul Chiriches Capoue and Dembele is the worst combination. They cant even complete a simple pass, maintain the tempo or retain the possession, not to mention to create something to our front four. Bit harsh to blame Lamela, Eriksen Chadli or Ade as our defenders and midfields are disjointed. The Poch's system completely failed today because of the misplayed DMs and CBs.

Lloris - 6
Dier - 6
Kaboul - 5
Chiriches - 0*
Rose - 6
Capoue - 5
Dembele - 5
Lamela - 5
Eriksen - 5.5
Chadli - 4
Adebayor - 0*

* - Can I give a negative number? If so, change those to -10's.

Kaboul, Chiriches and Adebayor lost their spots in the team for the next 5 matches as far as I am concerned.

People are being very harsh on Kaboul he was decent. paulinho was poor and we seem to love strikers that doesn't look like scoring

We lack severe pace

At least Bentley scored a great goal against Arsenal. I don't foresee anything good coming out of Paulinho

I cannot fathom what Poch sees in a defensive duo of Chiriches and Kaboul... They're like dumb and dumber, just even unfunnier.

Rose was scapegoated but was actually one of our better players today.

Eriksen needs to sort his head out.

We should have bought a striker, Adebayor was dead on his feet by 50 minutes and isn't good enough.

Our full backs are imperative to our system and don't offer the quality width and attacking potency we require, especially Dier (not his fault he isn't a RB)

Going back to my original point, Chiriches more specifically was absolutely woeful... Worst defensive performance I've seen in a Spurs shirt.

I don't see any evidence of a discernable system... I see Lamela and a few others running around like mad men pressing and others like Adebayor jogging around up top.

Lloris - 8 -
I thought he made some good saves to keep the score down and was faultless for their goal

Dier - 6 -

nothing wrong but he's lacking positional sense at times and leaves us exposed on the break

Kaboul - 5

was poor I thought and run ragged by their front two, out of position often and Lescott looked miles better on the day

Chiriches - 4 -

He looks a real flop, weak, slow, poor in the air, falls over and doesn't really seem to care. Awful today and I've never seen him play well defensively. Poor signing in my view

Rose - 6 -

he didn't have a terrible game

Capoue - 4
-
was woeful today, weak and failed to protect the defense, his passing was also terrible

Dembele - 4 -

also poor and left the defense exposed giving away possession whilst playing his part in us being dominated in CM

Lamela - 5 -
full of effort and I liked his desire but nothing was really going for him, didn't seem to be able to beat a man with skill and lacked pace. he didn't really play any key passes either though there wasn't a great deal of movement ahead of him to be able to

Eriksen - 5 -

terrible set pieces, wasted what little opportunities we had to create something, didn't ever get in to the game and is struggling to reproduce his form of last season. Though as with Lamela while his passing was poor he didn't have much ahead of him to create space for which to provide a key pass in to

Chadli - 4 -

The only thing I remember him doing of note was come off, didn't get involved, didn't support Rose and had no discipline for the team (was constatently on the other side of the park without reason to do so)

Adebayor - 4-

really poor, never in the middle when we had an attack, should have given a pen away, lost every battle in the air, looked weak and got bullied and outclassed by their defense

Of the subs that came on - Soldado had an effort where at first I thought he should have scored but in hindsight it was really a half chance and Lennon at least looked lively and made us start going forward when we came on

Lamela being unfairly slated by majority on here.

He tried stuff and it didn't come off.

There were far, far worse culprits than the aforementioned today... But no slack will be cut as he is the easy scapegoat due to his price tag.

Adebayor shirked responsibility totally and for 10 minutes in the 2nd half was basically hiding from the ball.

Lloris couldn't do anything about the goal, made two very good save, dealt with most else pretty comfortably.

Dier was pretty decent defensively apart from getting skinned once, and played some nice balls forward.

Kaboul looked shaky and was so sloppy with his passing.

Chiriches had one of the worst games I've seen from any centre back ever. Made Ricardo Rocha's debut look like a dream start. Today he was beaten every time, weak, useless on the ball, all in all a liability.

Rose did well. He carried the ball forward, he wasn't particularly beaten at any point and he busted a gut.

Capoue had a good first half with some good passing and solid defending, but once Dembele came off and he was alone in midfield, his performance dropped dramatically.

Dembele was solid defensively barring one moment where he tried too much too deep, he was very energetic and he drove us forward as much as he could, playing some very clever passes. Unless he was knackered or injured I must question the decision to sub him.

Lamela fought constantly, showed some great skill at times and constantly tried to drag us forward, even of he did overcook it a few times. If the other three attackers showed even 75% of his endeavour and drive then this thread would have a very different feel.

Eriksen over or underhit absolutely everything, flitted in and out of the game and was bullied quite easily.

Chadli was pretty much anonymous. I expect far more from a man of his physical and technical ability.

Adebayor looked like a worse version of Pavlyuchenko today. For a guy so blessed physically and technically, he does so very little. No effort, no movement, as cons two everything. He was put in by good balls on a few occasions today and just never makes it when slower players would have, while offering no link up play and missing a sitter of a header. 1 goal in 5? Time to drop him.

Soldado didn't do much but he at least offered some link up and, with his one half chance, registered our only shot on target.

Paulinho came on and made us infinitely weaker. Everything he did was bad.

Lennon was energetic and showed for the ball, but his two attempted crosses were both woeful.

Pochettino made some curious choices today. Starting an off form Adebayor again? Odd. Playing Chiriches ahead of Vertonghen? Lunacy. Subbing Dembele at 0-0 and this surrendering the midfield completely? Unforgivable.

Need to improve quickly,

At least Poch's happy with the squad..

This game left a bad taste in my mouth. We can and should do better even though our team's not good enough to compete in the very top IMO.

Chiriches 1
Ade 1
Paulinho 1
Rose 5
Lloris 6

The rest 3 (incl Poch)

Agree about Lamela and what I liked was that he kept trying even though very little/nothing came off for anyone today
