I was so pissed off that I cycled to work despite being on holiday, but the ride made me think even more about Spurs! I remembered what Gallas had said some time back: too often, we go onto the pitch thinking that we've already won the game. The problem also lies among many supporters who think we are entitled, but we've won nothing of note for a very long time. And it's going to be a hell of a lot longer, because apparently we won't move into the new stadium until 2020!

He lambasted you for blaming Adebayor and then a paragraph or so later asked why Kane/Soldado didn't get a chance! The subtext is always about running down anyone that may not be associated with the previous Redknapp setup, which included Sherwood. Now, I get the fact that that decision comes down to the manager, but if you make yourself to be the top dog striker then you have to produce. Adebayor may well take up good positions, but his link up play is not as good as Soldado's. This was evident when he came on. There is a problem with Pochettino where his Soton team also lost leads easily and I'm not sure about the reason for that.
Anyway, people need to now untwist their knickers.

Or in you case a g-string

My "subtext" is to suggest trying something different be it a formation or a change of player for a period of games. TT suggested that Ade was the main culprit today which in truth could have been an assessment of any player who's name was not Rose, Mason or Lloris.

As for Redknapp, i'd take those awful CL games and fourth and fifth places finishes over anything i have seen these past two seasons. Perhaps you prefer the horseshit witnessed today.

But whatever rocks your boat i guess.

Like Wenger? Jose? Rodgers?

You mention one bad thing and the media go to town on you, he's already super careful about what he says and didn't even lay into the players. He was specific.
Yes.
“I felt the team was tired and maybe I should have made more changes to the starting line-up,” stated Mourinho.

we can all pick our scapegoats , and pin point mistakes and fair enough there is some facts to be seen.
but i realy think the important aspects are that we actually train every week and many days in a row. its a job to these guys and the surprising thing is they dont seem like they are aware of their responsibilities, and what they are required to do on the field of play.
watch teams like everton and palace and they dont hesitate like our players.
their efficient at what they do.
our corners and free kicks rearly affect the game other teams have 1 single dead ball opportunity and cause all sorts of problems.
we have many and it doesnt seem like its worth our entire back four going forward.
also notice our players give the ball away so cheaply and dont seem to value possession.
tottenham seems like a place to graze and finish your playing days, players seem too laid back and comfortable.
Todays result... we were ABUSED by a very poor newcastle side. and most of our players will need VIAGRA tonite if their woman decide to to give their wimpy asses any...

Of course. Depends what form they're in. Kane/Soldado, based on recent performances, should be starting over Ade. Unfortunately it seems Poch doesn't agree.
maybe levy wants Poch to play Ade in order to get something back on him when sold. If he isn't played, given his contract situation, he will be worth nothing....Hang on, playing him at the moment is probably killing his value! I don't know!

Still fuming from this and then you see Poch's 'mentality' and Kaboul's 'focus' comments it made me angrier this only throws more fuel on the fire for the media to go into overdrive look for the word 'crisis' from them soon because admittingly it could fast become one.

As touched on watching Poch's expression is like a clone of Ramos which just says to me vacant. Ok so Lennon and Townsend may offer diddley squat but what they may bloody offer is width with a Kane and Soldado partnership you never know we may have the ammunition to succeed in home games unless it's bloody tried! Hell there might even be an improvement which means 4-4-2! Or is that just no longer on the laptop anymore! Guess their own confidence is now shot by Poch's insistence on picking the same players in the same positions. This keeps happening far to much whoever is in charge of late would have love to known what Poch's interview was actually like with Levy can only think it was carried out with his interpreter if that was the truth should'nt have they been hired after all wasn't this how Mourinho started just a thought but so far it looks to me like we might have landed another 'special case' instead.

It might be a horrible thing to admit, but West Ham have actually been very savvy in the transfer market this summer and are proof that you don't need to spend millions to get players who can fit this league and make a difference.

We on the other hand spent the Bale money like a chav with a lottery win.

There is no cohesion or strategy to our transfer policy. It's the obvious targets (whi we inevitably can't get as they want too much money and we have too many competitors) or players who are cheap or alternatively don't suit the PL or the system the current manager wants to play.

We end up with a bloated and unbalanced squad.

We can't keep blaming the managers.

We've done a similar thing this summer, bought players who cannot even make our bench. I said at the beginning of the season that we had too many players that would expect to be in the team. We have a bloated squad that will cause more problems than solve them. I said this at the beginning of the season and got plenty disagrees.

Out of all the players we've signed in the past 2 summer windows only Eriksen has significantly improved the starting lineup. I know Chadli has scored a few this season but I wouldn't say that he's a massive upgrade on Dempsey for example. Lamela is still a work in progress and has had some patches of good play but still struggling for consistency.

Eriksen
Lamela
Chiriches
Paulinho
Soldado
Capoue
Chadli
Davies
Fazio
Stambouli
Dier
Vorm

That's 12 signings in the past 2 summer windows and only 4 of them start in the first team when everyone is fit.

Ade was utter dog turd again.

If Poch picks him next week I will have to start doubting him or really take this whole levy demands his presence conspiracy thing seriously.

Kaboul is just awful. Davies seems a bit out of his depth atm. Drop those 3 and maybe we can improve.

Rose was really good today though. At least there was one positive. I also think we looked more threatening with hurrikane and soldado up front.

I still think lamela will come good. But he needs to be on the flanks more with erikksen more central.

I hope to never see the useless wanker that is Ade ever again in a spurs shirt. So so shit

How the hell can the team be tired with no travel, a relatively straight forward win on Thursday evening and this early in the season.

Its not like it was an identical eleven either. Energy levels should be fine.

Its how we start games, it how we always start. Softly, softly. And its not just now, it been like this for ages. We never start fast and aggressive and let the team know they're we're bang up for it. We did against QPR and then shat ourselves when Liverpool came the following week for some inexplicable reason.

How you start games invariably set the tone, definitely at home anyway. Will keep saying it until I'm blue in the face and we rarely every do it.

I know we had superior quality, but look when we hammered Liverpool 4-0 a few seasons back and Modric scored the worldy and Ade got a brace. That was an aggressive performance.

You do realise Davies didnt start today or in any league game this season ?

I wholeheartedly agree on Adebayor though, his couldn't give a monkeys attitude seeps through the whole team like a deadly virus. Worst call ever was Levy backing Adebayor instead of AVB.

Oh then I agree, he isn't a RB and I feel for him being asked to play there.

Maybe that is the answer then. Switch him inside for kaboul and bring in..shudder..naughton. but I have tbh. Despite his flying start he is still very raw.

I wonder if Davies could do a job on the right?
