I'd rather a major clear out of players before going for a new Manager

I'd rather we stopped chopping and changing both continually whilst somehow expecting a cohesive team to form from the parts.

How about we bring back Tim and make Poch his assistant to learn off him?

Said it at the time and I'll say it again what was the point in sacking sherwood and bringing poch in ?
One c class manager for another.
The only reason we should have replaced sherwood is if we had a LVG ,Benitez or similar class and experience of manager lined up

If we are to make wholesale changes on the squad, I'd rather do it with manager I trust.

Well, I trust Poch if he gets the right squad of players. Everyone is gonna have there preferences on who they'd prefer as the manager, but everyone is in agreement that we have a number of players that aren't good enough, mentally, and technically.

So would I, as both does us no favours, but its getting to the stage with these players that we can't persist with them. They've failed to deliver now for a few seasons and under numerous manager changes.

This ain't football manager you can't do the £100m cheat and buy everyone one you want and even then I doubt it would work under poch anyway, he looks more clueless than AVB. Two nil down and he's brings on two midfielders with two strikers on the bench smh

I'm not either, but he wouldn't be an appointment that fills me with optimism. If he turned out to be a spectacular failure, could anyone really say it would be a surprise?

He's had, what, 18 months of getting Southampton to play good football (provided they're not chasing a game, in which case they inevitably lose)? Before that he had a mixed tenure at Espanyol. He also rated Osvaldo highly enough to sign him twice.

He'll have my support, but I won't be expecting much more than a mid-table finish next season. At least we'll be more entertaining to watch.

Who'd have thought it. Turns out I was massively optimistic

I know its not, but we can make a start in January in identifying the players to offload and have January and the Summer to do it, and replace them with quality rather than quantity. No one is saying to do it all in one big swoop, but it needs to be done.

Klinsmann was in the crowd today (9/11).....

I voted for him in this poll when it was originally started, I think we need someone back at this club who gives actually gives a fuck. Jurgen or Hoddle should have been hired in the first place IMO.

Frank De Boer. I reckon he can build a great team around Eriksen. Also maybe bring out the best in Super Jan again.

This is what I posted in May. Eriksen and Vertonghen are probably our only outfield players who have potential to be world-class. It's just not working for Eriksen under Poch and for reasons only Poch knows Super Jan is getting dropped for Fazio!

Unfortunately, I don't see these two being in Poch's plans which is a shame.
