Levy & Lewis haggle over sale of every player we sell...in some cases, take couple of years to sell someone.
If the club is up for sale, then they will haggle over the bid to their death.

We aren't't selling for another 20 years. That's being optimistic

Lewis will be dead by then and the beneficiaries of the Levy family trust will have been banging on the door for capital.

This all reminds me a multiple-choice "careers" questionaire I filled in back at comprehensive school .

One of the questions was "Would you rather work in an a) shoe factory b) slipper factory ...."

That question didn't have a box for "forcing mustard powder up my backside" but if there had of been I would have ticked it .

Why does football seem to attract such an unsavoury bunch of avaricious people ?

Because good, ethical folk don't usually get stinky rich?

So long as we can end up with a bigger net spend on players than Burnley, i am all for it.

True .

The good ethical people struggle to rent a square yard of the ground for 90 minutes .

Levy and Enic have their faults but better the devil you know .

btw -- don't get me wrong... I would love for some new blood and a shot of $$ into the club... just hard to imagine this happening following the Cain shenanigans.

that said... it's so bloody clear, that if there was a team that is worth making a HUGE investment in the PL, it's us. We are already ranked amongst the top 20 teams in the world, we are on the brink of building a new stadium, and have a truly world class training facility. what we don't seem to have is a massive cash infusion to take us to that next level.

if someone was willing the finance the team to purchase the players coach wants --- regardless of dumb shit, like 3rd party ownership, then it would be entirely feasible to see us making the jump.

I will try not to get excited though. After all, this is the season of doom and unending gloom.

I was just thinking today that when they played the loud music at the end of the game on Sunday to drown out the boos, there HAD to be a reason behind it.
I would suggest that there HAS to be someone sniffing around looking to put a bid in because Levy knows that having the fans booing him and the team at this particular time..................is going to cost Lewis and him an absolute fortune.
Thats why the music was played so loud and why the banners of Levy Out were confiscated.

He is bricking it!

The one question I have for all potential investors is - Are they blabbermouths?
What will a takeover do to the quantity and quality of ITK?

That's all that should matter isn't it? Team's usually disappointing anyway, transfer windows are the only time of year we get an opportunity to feel enthusiastic and happy. So as long as they can contribute where it matters, it's all good!

Only Spurs could end up being taken over by a group potentially even more unethical than an oligarch or oil money most probably linked to state sponsored terrorism. :D

Probably bullshit anyway, but it would be typical Spurs. Probably the first owners ever to fail the fit and proper person test!

There has been plenty of booing in the past and they didn't resort to drowning it out with loud music.
There has to be a reason.............why now?

Fuck that shit, Carlyle group is heavily involved in Military and is up there with Halliburton etc, although where Halliburton build the infrastructure, Carlyle merely finance it.

Plus i'm pretty sure Bush Sr and Tony Blair have something to do with it.

Read this to get a small flavour of the unsavoury things it gets up to and people it hangs with: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/paul-alexander/say-what-white-house-plot_b_5416610.html
