Oh for a second I thought the headline was going to say Jurgen is coming back to the Lane to try and inject some hope "again".

He told him,
'They have a brilliant top notch stadium located in a lovely surrounding area.
The crowd are fantastic.
Plus a brilliant Chairman who's really on the ball.
A squad full of talented hungry players.
They're really going places.'

One of these is true.
Guess which one.
Sorry for whinge but got arse ache.

It going places. Just not good places.

Yawn.

Or maybe he recommended us as a club that has potential and is considerably better than the one he is at......

But you just keep applying your negative spin on things if it makes you feel better.

It's the truth you either accept it or you don't

Stripping away all the hype, he's been a big fish at Seattle, but over here he's an unproven raw talent who couldn't expect a first team place at an established CL side, which is why Klinsman pointed him in our direction.
As for it being a stepping stone, his career could go any one of 3 ways, best illustrated by the names Bale (good enough to move up a notch), Vertonghen (probably found his level), and Khumalo (nuff said)...

Got to give the team a breath of fresh air; young, fast, keen. Best of luck DeAndre!
