After thinking long and hard about this.......I really can't do the ratings as I didn't rate anyone today. Best just be happy for the 3 points and move on

Eriksen won us the match, we played pretty poorly. Fazio and Vertonghen need as much game time as possible together if they are going to be our first choice as at the moment they are a bit all over the place. Vlad looked ok at right back, it's just not working for Bobby and Mason is rapidly asserting himself as our best central midfielder. We were poor but the 3 points are huge when you consider our next two games.

Mason, Eriksen and Lamela were all very good in patches and the man of the match is between them. They are hugely talented individuals. It will improve with patience.

Eriksen stood out for me even before he scored the winner. Mason and Lamela also put in good performances. I think Chiriches is a good attacking option at RB and he made a difference.

That's just it really. It could be yes it could be no, it's just difficult to work out. I'm just happy with the 3 points but what I would say though is, I heard so much about Poch being a man manager and the main man to give players confidence............well maybe he forgot something in his locker back at S"Ton because I think Koeman definitely found it

It really wasn't as bad as some are making out... is this the first time we've won up there in the recent era?

Didn't think Lamela was that great today at all, tbh. But Eriksen and Mason did well, and also liked what I saw from Lennon, and surprisingly, Chiriches. My vote went to Eriksen.

Me too. He started to run the match particularly after the red. Dropping deep (but not too deep) to take hold of possession and really started to drive his passes forward and out wide. Definitely gave the team the momentum to go on and win. The goal just topped it of for me.

We all see things differently and maybe to you it wasn't that bad. What I saw today was a team completely void of any cohesiveness or confidence. The term "team" is a long way off what I saw today.
I don't know enough about Poch to like or dislike him. I (like many) only know what ITK have said and some youtube vids of his team bonding exercises.

There are some players majorly second guessing themselves. Having mason and kane in there is a real boost as they are fearless. We looked ok at the back and Bobby even came close. Some of the passes between the lines and mix of mason lamela and Eriksen were nice and Bobby was getting closer. Mason and eriksen looked a nice attacking combo and really sped things up. Paulinho was the only disappointment he is majority lacking a forward pass and has no confidence at all

Lloris- 5.5- His first bad game for us in a long long time. He made a good save but made poor decisions and looked very shaky
Dier- 5- Not a RB- Can we stop playing him there.
Fazio- 6- Meh
Vertonghen- 6- Meh
Davies- 7.25- He was very good today I thought and near to the standard that Rose was playing at this season. I don't think he was tested much defensively though.
Dembele- 5- Did nothing. I'd prefer Paulinho to him because at least Paulinho has the potential to score goals. Saying that, I want Stambouli to start and I have no idea what's going on with him. Being perfectly honest, we should ditch the Midfield '2' stuff all together at the moment
Mason- 6.5- Didn't do too much but passed well and tried to create chances. Has a lot of desire as well and he's still definitely a starter
Lamela- 6.5.- OK. Wasn't as shit as people are making out. He should've scored though and not passing when someone else (can't remember who) was completely free to wrap up the game in the last minutes was fucking ridiculous.
Eriksen- 9- Brilliant throughout IMO. Played quite well in the first half and was simply superb in the second half and completely ran the game. Played as well as he did to the end of the last season and of course, his free kick, which was amazing, allowed Kane to score and he saved us with a great goal in the last minute as well.
Kane-7- Scored a goal but didn't do too much. Sometimes he's great at dribbling but sometimes his first touch is simply awful
Soldado- 5- Not good. Nearly given up hope on him. Should have scored at least once. Shame.

Subs:
Chiriches- 6.5- Was pretty decent at RB. Should start in the next match against Everton there instead of Dier.
Lennon-7.5- Was good IMO and at offered us pace and width+ he shows a lot of desire.
Paulinho- NET.

I always say this and I dont mind Soldado but he is always offered far too much slack. That chance he missed was a massive chance which he should have put away, had that been a few others they would have been castigated for it. He may be getting closer but he should be scoring. He simply isn't performing.

Okay so I'll try:

Lloris - lost the ball twice in the air but saved us with one wonder save. Overall he can do better - 5.5

Dier - he just isnt a right back and hopefully he isnt losing confidence or getting frustrated. Had his problems with Brady at times and couldnt do something upfront. Not his fault - 5

Fazio - well...some dodgy moments in first half, few good header clearances and more comfortable when not tested in sceond half. Still an underwhelming signing so far - 5.5

Vertonghen - hm...won us the red card, on the ball our best defender but not always enough willness to deal with it better - 6

Davies - I thought a solid game for Ben who deserves a few more starts. - 6.5

Dembele - can't protect defense, can't create, so much talent....wasted - 5

Mason - Did a fine job, you just see he cares more than others. He is one of our lot and hopefully he can get better defensively and become a leader. - 7

Eriksen - Thanks for the free kick and the goal...other than that you would say not enough and I think he doesnt track back with enough intensity and willingness to close down. - 7

Lamela - I am very patient with him but sometimes he just confuses me with what he does. Sometimes he needs so much time on the ball and prefer to run in a wall of defenders or he misplaces the easiest of passed. And sometimes there is a moment of fluid creativity and brillance. But for what I expected not enough and he serious has to up his game and start scoring in the league. - 6

Soldado - Was very patient with him as well. Still more happy to see him than Ade in the line up, but isnt he just laughable in front of goal? Just a shame. Would love to love him, but sorry, terrible... - 4.5

Kane - Scored. Again. That is what a striker most of all is about. Other than that not overly useful today but so far I am fine with Kane and he deserves to start more than any other player. - 6

Chiriches - Funny player, but I always thought more suited right back. He actually had very good moments on the right. Put in a very good cross and filled the room with width. Still under pressure a joke and loses the ball far to easily. As long as Walker is out he can play there, but won't cry a tear when he leaves in January. - 6.5

Lennon - Best game this season so far by him. But that wasn't difficult. He could even be more productive on the right but at least someone was out there. - 6.5

Paulinho - Mighty game changer - 11

Between Eriksen and mason, with Eriksen edging it. Although Eriksen bottled a few tackles and was lazy at times.

Second half was a decent performance, though the finishing was spotty. That appeared to be the case even before the red. That first half was so awful though.

Lloris: 7 - Made a couple of key saves in the first half. Helpless for the goal.
Dier: 2 - He is terrible at RB, simple as. Don't play him there Poch. He plays ultra narrow and is a walking YC.
Fazio: 5.5 - Not much of note
Verts: 5.5 - See above
Davies: 6.5 - Pretty good performance
Dembele: 4 - No impact, slow, laborious.
Mason: 7 - Another solid game. Lots of touches and highly accurate.
Lamela: 5.5 - Left a bit to be desired. Still holds onto the ball too much and takes on his many in useless spots.
Eriksen: 8 MOTM - As absent as the rest in the first half, but at the heart of everything in the second. Good FK and neat finish under immense pressure to win it. Read his statline earlier and was impressed. Something like 92% pass accuracy, 5 key passes, 9 crosses, and the goal.
Kane: 6.5 - Was a decent option, always dangerous. I like what he has been offering. Versatile enough to play competently far from goal, but a legit striker in the box as well.
Soldado: 4.5 - Decent in link up again, but this guy is supposed to be a striker. Put the ball in the net ffs.

Chiriches: 6 - Much better than Dier. Didn't have to defend but was decent going forward.
Lennon: 6 - Barely enough time, but did decent
Paulinho: 4 - Very little time but god he was bad. It was almost like he was marking Eriksen when we had the ball. Just get out of the way if you aren't going to do anything buddy.

Poch: 5 - Should have sussed out that Dier can't play RB by now. Dembele was a toss up selection and the rest picked itself due to injuries. Reacted well at HT and seemed to influence the game in the second half.

Please no more moans about refs. Saved our bacon again.Could be a turning point in our season but I always think that.
Some nice passing and link play but often too slow . On one occasion I counted 8 passes and we still weren't out of our half.

Lloris..............6..........Poor decision making at times and beaten from a long way out again. Calm down, calm down Hugo.
Dier...............6-..........OK I suppose. Doesn't defend that well or get forward. Must be better than Fazio at CB.
Fazio.............5..........Careless with the ball again.Attacks the ball well but misses it.
Vertonghen...5+........OK.ish.Running on eco setting.
Davies..........6+.........Better going forward today. Defends better than Rose. Well anyway he did today.
Dembele.......6...........Not impressed again. Who puts the treacle in his boots?
Mason...........7...........Pushing for MOM on effort alone.
Lamela..........7...........Another trier but with touches of class. Links well with Erikson.
Eriksen..........8...........My MOM for his second half performance. Has the ability to take the game to opponents.
Soldado.........7- .........Same old. Fails to score but impressive link and approach play.
Kane............. 7+.........Do I not like this boy. Right place right time again. Emmanuel who?
Chiriches ......6+.........Exciting player but not in a good way. Effective at right back though when they gave up attacking.
Lennon..........6+.........Good cameo. Beating his man, crossing well and tackling back.
