Saw up to the second goal then I had to go to work. I knew we played well up to then but gifted them two goals. Yet to see the rest of the match.

I honestly can't believe what I've just heard them say on MOTD....about how Spurs fans should be very worried. What the actual fuck are they on about.

Yes individual mistakes gifted Chelsea the points but sometimes you can't legislate for that, we still had some very good moments in the game and we were playing a superior team, in a fixture we've always struggled in, who will probably win the league at a canter,

Pundits these days are just idiots.

I stopped listening to them ages ago, but it still pisses me off how many fans take their word as gospel. The new ones coming through (Jenas, Murphy, Neville to an extent) are much better imo. Needs some fresh faces.

Anyway, Bentaleb continues to impress me. Thought he was excellent tonight - I actually clapped when he did that touch running backwards, ran past Drogba and delivered the pass to Lennon. That was absolute class.

Special mention to Kane, no idea how he's not completely dead yet.

The rest were meh, I really don't think we played badly at all, and it's clear Poch's methods are slowly beginning to come across.

I watch MotD for highlights and highlights alone. Some of the opinions on there are on par with those you get in the match day threads on here. They churn out shit that's easy to fob off the masses with. I'll guarantee the papers will be similar tomorrow and claim that we were completely dominated and outclassed.

As for the game itself. I thought Bentaleb was very good and held his own against players with far more experience than him. Kane was good too, despite for the odd blind alley run. He's really starting to click, but to me he's still more effective as a number 10.

We played well, all things considered, and a 3-0 scoreline flattered Chelsea. They deserved the win as they took their chances, as you'd expect them too. Typical Mourinho display really, nothing flashy, just getting the job done. The difference between us, as I said in the match day thread, was composure and concentration. We were sloppy at times with some poor passing and mis-controls, and Chelsea were only ever really dangerous when we'd gifted possession to them. If we can cut that out then we'll stand a better chance against teams of their calibre.

I didn't watch the game closely enough to rate players, but despite what was on paper another limp 3-0 defeat I was actually pretty heartened by the display. We are moving the ball around crisply and pressing well and in an organised manner. Compared to how we were playing 3 weeks ago it's a totally different side. For the first time in a while I'm not too worried about the future, even if it takes a while for us to become properly good again.

Bentaleb impressed me again from what I saw. He seems to have really stepped it up a level in a way that I can't quite put my finger on, despite hardly playing this season

Agree. some of these pundits are so bad its unreal. Titty Haman has some beer belly doesn't he? He's a horrendous pundit. He looks like a lazy slob now - just a lazy pundit.

Was a very rare poor performance from Lloris tonight. Gifted one goal and let in another at his near post. On the whole a number of players still looked exhausted from Sunday. I think Lamela has been highly criticised in the match thread which I think is incredibly unjust. Bentalab was the best player on the pitch, Kane played well but ran into defenders a little to much and should have passed to Lamela for a tap in but again put in a great shift. I am a little worried about fitness levels on Saturday as I think it will become more of issue over the next few weeks. This is the problem with playing a high press for 90 minutes. Overall though I am not disheartened in the slightest and am looking forward to Saturday.

Totally agree.

Was actually thinking Jimbo78 might be Titty Haman? He could do with getting some exercise, having a shave and shopping away from Dunnes Stores.

Might get round to doing some ratings in the morning, I thought Bentaleb was the best player on the pitch for us.

Hate to say it but it was men against boys tonight, they didn't seem to get out of 2nd gear and it shows how far we have to go.

Having said that, I thought the team played really well, and had 1 or both of Harry's chances gone in it could have been interesting.

I'm starting to see MoPo's vision on the pitch and I like it

I liked most of what I saw, I didn't like Chelsea and their Chelsea-ish ways.

Lloris 4 Hasn't done well on any of the goals really
Davies 7 Improving all the time, solid
Vertonghen 5 Put on his ass for the third and had a bad day
Fazio 8 Really settled down & a cert starter now
Chiriches 6 He's not a right back, but he could be so harsh to hammer for first goal. I like him there
Mason 5 Got a bit found out tonight, still early days for him so benefit of doubt for now
Bentaleb 8 Kid's a natural. Immense temperament, smart choices
Lennon 6
Lamela 6 Probably needs a goal for a bit of confidence, seems a bit lost at the moment
Eriksen 5 Lightweight in a heavyweight fixture. It happens
Kane 8 Cut AND thrust? Yessir

Paulinho & Chadli were the right subs at the time, beefing things up
Soldado too late

Pochettino: is really getting the message across. OK, they fended us off pretty easily but the start was great and some of the hustle & one touch play was very good. We have a piss easy schedule coming up before Christmas & should hoover up some points.

Encouraging; I'm not losing my marbles. Exactly what I saw.

We had early chances, you didnt take them you loose. I dont think we were bad. We ran and ran and tried and never gave up, I liked that, but now we need three points on Saturday, hopefully Poch doesnt run them in the ground with a lot of matches coming up.

Bentaleb, Kane and Fazio were the stand out players.

The rest were either average or poor.
