I got a laugh when I suggested Pochettino, but he has got this team believing in themselves. Great coaching.

A few bad plays in the game, but everyone had positive moments today. Kane is clearly MotM, but I thought Eriksen made some critical plays today as well, Chadli was a big key, Dembele played his best game of the season, imo. Vertonghen was the most consistent defender today, but all of them made some brilliant plays.

Agree with most comments but I think Paulinho deserves a mention. He has come on in recent games and done very well. He certainly helped to turn the game back in our favour and I thought he was very good today.

Kane.

And well done, poch.

I criticised Poch's team selection before the United game which I got very wrong. It was simple rotation. I criticised him today for starting Rose over Davies. I was wrong again.

I am a huge Pochetino fan and have a lot of confidence he is leading us in the right direction.

Chadli's best game for us imo but again Kane was immense. Dembele and Lloris also played well what a start to the new year I am so fucking delighted in spite of this stinking hangover.

So did I and it did nearly backfire. But he obviously went for pace over stability and took the risk and it paid off.

Both he and walker were wobbly at times but we still battered those xxxxs. So satisfying. :)

I'm still just utterly shocked by what Kane is becoming. He looks like a peasant extra from Barry Lyndon, and his name sounds like a euphemism for genitalia, but he's starting to play like Robert fucking Lewandowski. What a fucking performance from the whole team, but Kane was absolutely stunning.

I'd give it to Chadli, right from minute one he put himself about a lot more than usual and seemed as if he had taken the handbrake off today. Much more pace, power and confidence to his game. Very good performance, and hopefully the first of many in this vein.

Lloris: 9 - can't do much better really. one world class save, good command of the area, good distribution today
Walker: 7 - not his best, but his speed was vital in more than a few spots
Fazio: 7 - can't try to dribble it out like that unless you have a bit more skill on the ball. great in the air as usual. was up for it.
Vertonghen: 9 - class player back playing at a high level. nearly faultless.
Rose: 7 - horrendous error on the first goal. unacceptable. good work to be in position to score on the other end though.
Townsend: 7 - not too involved, very hit and miss as usual, but good pen
Bentaleb: 8 - really shocked how consistent he can be at this age and experience level
Mason: :(
Dembele: 8 - much better than other recent performances. wasn't as ponderous on the ball. was up for it physically.
Chadli: 9 - he was all over the place. i feel so confident when we get him the ball on the counter. speed and physical presence with finishing mixed in as well. so much improved from last year.
Eriksen: 8 - quiet by his standards but always tidy and pretty much essential to our game now
Kane: 10 - ballon d'or coming his way soon

subs: 7
poch: 9 - could have got 10 if he trolled mourinho some

I thought Kane was the best. Chadli the second best and Eriksen third. I think Eriksen gets finds good positions, but often he does not get the ball. That is a little bit frustration. Anyway a very great performance. Sometimes the defenders made bad passes, but that is the only negative thing, I think.

As soon as Soldado goes Kane should take the number 9 shirt...scoring two goals against Chelsea is confirmation that Harry Kane has come of age.

Kane 10 - outstanding.

Chadli 9 - excellent game and pipped to MoM by Kane's superb performance.

Bentaleb 8 - shaky start with some dodgy passing but grew into the game and held his own against Matic and Fabregas.

Eriksen 8 - involved in most of our attacks, plenty of closing down and looked very dangerous in his free role. Only negative was his poor corners.

Lloris 8 - produced an excellent save from Azpilicueta, let's call him Dave, easier to spell. Looked solid and couldn't do anything about the Chelsea goals.

Dembele 7 - good in possession, and I actually saw him running around, even late in the game. Needs to work on his tackling though.

Vertonghen 7 - the best of our defenders by a long shot. Kept going all the way to the end and made some key interceptions.

Davies 7 - a breath of fresh air, a lot more solid than Rose and other than fitness, I'm still bemused as to why he didn't start.

Paulinho 6 - showed lots of energy and looked interested, a decent performance.

Townsend 5 - took his penalty well but my only other recollection of Andros was him show boating at 4-2, setting up a Chelsea counter attack. My prayers were soon answered as he was subbed seconds later.

Walker, Fazio, Rose 4 - for as good as our attackers were, this lot were horrendous at the back. Sloppy in possession, switching off and not playing to the whistle, being out of position and in Rose's case, getting arse raped by Hazard. Thank God we scored 5 as the high line produced a comedy of errors.

Mason n/a - hope he's ok.

Poch 8 - Positives: counter attacking tactics, allowing Eriksen to have a free role, actively encouraging the team through out the game, very good subs. Negatives: Starting out of sorts Rose instead of in form Davies, playing out of form Townsend whom once again offered very little other than a well taken penalty. Persisting with the high line despite Hazard and co tormenting our defence all game, and allowing the full backs to keep attacking, leaving Fazio and Verts exposed to a Chelsea counter attack.

Tough one. Chadli had a better overall game than anyone else. However the goals from Kane came at the perfect time and gave us belief so I had to plump for him.

Lloris 8- 1 world class save.

Walker 6- Good going forward.. Shaky defensively.

Vertonghen 7- Besides Costas tap in, was well marshalled.

Fazio 7- Gave away Chelskis 2nd goal. Otherwise good.

Rose 7- Hazzard torched him, scored from a rebound off post.

Townsend 6- No end Product.

Bentaleb 7- Did well. Kept tempo high.

Mason inc- injury

Eriksen 8- Linked well with Kane.

Chadli 9- Good finish. Set up a penalty.

Kane 10- 2 very well taken goals. Ran his socks off. Won a penalty.

subs

It was written for us to bottle it, much like we have done in the past. But as Poch said, he has to change the mentality of this team, and he has taken a giant stride in doing that today.

It would be unfair to give any player MOTM, Kane, Chadli, Dembele, Vertonghen and Eriksen all could win it.

Not one player played bad today.
